Diary Entry #1
Hello, my name is Jessica Adams, your average teenage girl. I'm not going to lie- there's not really anything special or interesting about me. I really dread being the new kid, I moved from a small town in North Carolina to the big city of New York. I don't know how it's going to be here, but I honestly think it's not going to be any better than my old school. Sorry for influencing you with my negative attitude, ever since my dad and brother died in a car accident back home, I'd never felt the same. My brother was the closest person to me, he always protected me, and without him, I just feel unsafe. Anyways, let's stop discussing about the sappy stuff.
This is me:
Some of my hobbies are Makeup art, singing and journaling. After the car accident, journaling really helped me to pour out all of my emotions, it's my own version of self-therapy - if that makes any sense. Makeup is something I've always loved, I think I'll have time to write in a quick story about that before dinner.
"Jessica come down and eat your dinner.'' My mom yelled from downstairs."Or not", I thought aloud. I sped walked down the spiral staircase to the dining room. This made me think of the time I broke my arm when I was 7, long story short I fell down the stairs at my old house. My mom was completely spaced out in a whole different world, staring at the marble counter with the blankest expression on her face.
"Mom are you alright?" I asked her, ever since the accident has happened my mom has never been the same. She ate less, she smiled less. She used to be one of those moms who attended every school event, every basketball game. Things have changed now.
She put on a fake smile on her face "Of course honey," She said as she placed my food on the table. One thing that did not change was her amazing cooking skills, today she made my favourite- Spaghetti and meatballs.
...
"Thanks, mom," I said to her as I finished my dinner. I walked up the stairs of our new penthouse heading to my room. I scrolled through my social media accounts before I took a shower and lied down on my bed, tomorrow is my first day of school and I'm really nervous.
In my old school, I was captain of the basketball team, debate team, and cheer. I was a straight-A student and I hope I can get 95 and above as I approach my junior year of high school. I'm hoping to get into Columbia University.
All of a sudden I heard knocking on my door. "Sleep well, honey."
"You too mom," I said. My mom has always been a very caring person, that is a thing I love about her. "I love you," my mom cheered. "Love you too." My mom turned off the light as I closed my eyes. I have a big day ahead of me!
A/N: Hello readers, thank you for making it to the end of the first chapter of my very first Wattpad book! ❤️ All chapters will be much longer than this, don't worry. Again thank you for reading 💙.
