Chapter 19: Heaven

Kaylan POV

Gio and I have been official for 2 weeks (since the day I kissed him). I'm happier than ever, I'm kind of glad that Jessica died because with her here, I'd never get the opportunity to date Giovanni. If Ariana, was alive, we'd be good friends. I didn't go to Jessica's funeral last week, but I will be going to Ariana's funeral.

Jessica POV

I ran up to hug my brother, "Nice to see you again, Jessie," he said. "Nice to see you too," I replied to him. I felt so bad for mom. She has no one left. She lost her husband and both of her children. The day I died was her release day from prison. I wish I was there to give her a huge hug, but she probably came back depressed to be so lonely.

"So what do you do here in Heaven?" I asked my brother Justin. "Well, Heaven is very different from Earth. There are no electronics, although we have a lot of fun. I enjoy spending time with family I never got to know, reading, and playing frisbee."

Interesting, "Is it true that you can see what people do on Earth from Heaven?" I questioned him. "Yes, but you only have 3 turns per day, then you can't do it anymore," he answered. Cool, I wanted to see how Kaylan was doing, "Can you see what people did in the past?" I questioned. Justin nodded his head yes.

I looked back at Kaylan the day I died. For a bit she was crying, then someone knocked at her door. "Kaylan? It's Giovanni, I know you are there." Aw, what a sweet guy, dropping by to see if she was okay. "Hey, Kaylan," Giovanni said. "Aw, Gio, why do you look so sad?" Kaylan questioned. Is she on something? What do you mean ''Why do you look so sad", are you dumb?

Giovanni looked just as confused as me. "Come on, sit down," she demanded. You didn't answer my question," she added. Although she couldn't see me, I put my hands up in the air and made a 'what' sign. "Um, Jessica died, Kaylan," Giovanni said. Exactly, this guy knows whats up!  "Oh, I know. But why be sad when you have me right in front of you?"

No, no. I misheard, Kaylan did not just say that. I replayed it over and over again to find out what I heard was in fact right. I skipped some of the conversation but paused it when I saw the two of them making out on the couch. Things escalated quickly, and I caught Giovanni taking off his pants. 

I stopped when I found both of them naked on Kaylan's couch. I felt empty. I can believe Giovanni, but Kaylan? It just feels so unreal. "Are you alright Jessie?" My big brother asked me. "Ya, I just need some time to my self, you know? To clear my mind," I said. "That is perfectly fine, I did that when I first came to Heaven. I'll give you your space but when you are ready, they are many family members who would love to meet you," he replied.

"Ok," I said before storming off to sit on the clouds. This is all too unreal, I sighed.
