I could feel the wind at my face as I ran as fast as I could through dark thick woods. I was barefoot and the sticks and thorns were starting to hurt my feet as I ran. My heart was beating faster and faster as I ran deeper into the woods. The nightgown I had on doing nothing to keep me warm. But all I could think about was to keep going. They were behind me and if I stopped or even slowed just a little they would catch me. Ducking low hanging branches as best I could with out slowing was hard but I kept going even when my long black hair would get caught. My eyes filled with tears, stung from the cold night air , but I kept pushing. When the woods finally broke, I still couldn't stop running. Being out in the open wasn't safe, running across a large open meadow wasn't either but what other choice did I have. To turn around and go back the way I came, would be like walking right into the arms of death. Taking a small and quick glance behind me to see if I was as safe as I could be was all it took for me lose my speed. Two seconds of not watching where I was going and I had lost my footing on a random stick. Falling hard on the ground, I could feel my legs and hands getting cut from all the rocks and sticks from the meadow. Forcing myself to stand and start running again, I jumped up as fast as I could. But as I stood, a man in a black suit stood facing me. His hair was dark like his suit and his eyes were almost silver. I shivered from his gaze, then looked behind him. There were dozens if not hundreds of men in dark suits walking out of the woods. They're eyes almost glowing in the dark. Turning away from the man, I started to run again, but before I could even take one step I was grabbed from behind and pulled down. Darkness flooded my mind as I screamed into the night, and I sat up in bed.
