Chapter 5

School was finally over and I was so relieved that I don't have to handle all the eyes that I am receiving.

I was waiting for Chloe outside her classroom so I don't have to go home alone with Adrien. The memories from my room sent shivers down my spine and I tried to forget it. But, everytime I close my eyes, the picture of him on top of me haunts my mind.

I was cut off by my thoughts when I heard two girls walking by

"Did you know? Alex found her mate yesterday at the mall! " The girl with curly brown hair said

"Really?" The one with long straight hair said, her eyes wide "She's so lucky! I wish I can find my mate soon! " She said excitedly

"Me too! I'm about to turn 16 next month and maybe I can find my mate at my party! "

A what? What the heck is a mate?

The both of them continued their conversation dissapearing through the halls. A hand touched my shoulder and I squeaked, turning around, I saw Chloe and Kim both raising their brows at me.

I laughed nervously "Hey, didn't see you there"

"You dozed off again" She chuckled

"Sorry... "

"It's okay, ready to go?" She asked

I nod "And where's Adrien?" I asked, unaware of the words that left my mouth, my eyes widened and I clamped my hands over my mouth quickly regretting the words seeing Chloe's amused face

"Why...? " She asked, folding her hands over her chest as she leaned toward me, as if daring me to say something

I shifted uncomfortably, looking anywhere but her. She didn't move, she just starred. Those deep blue eyes gave shivers down my spine as Kim just stood there motionless.

I cleared my throat "Uh-we should-we should go..." I trailed off when I saw a guy calling out Kim's name.

I looked at him and my jaw dropped. Holy, he's drop dead gorgeous.

He has aqua eyes, and medium-length black hair that has been dyed teal blue at the tips. His attire includes a white shirt with a black Jagged Stone imprint, and black jeans ripped at the knee. He also wears a brown leather bracelet, two yellow and orange wristbands and his fingernails are painted black. He completes the outfit with a sky blue hooded jacket as well as red and black checkered sneakers. He wears a silver ring on his left pointer finger and black gauges. He wears plain, circular black earrings.

I would be lying if I say he's not handsome but, damn, every guy in this school is exactly the dream a girl could ever had with a guy. They are all drop dead gorgeous.

And Adrien is...

I shook my head. What on earth am I thinking? I hate the guy. He's a banana phsycho who can't keep his hands to himself.

I scoffed.

"Chloe, Kim, who's your new friend?"

I snapped my attention to the guy who is now standing in front of me. We locked eyes before Chloe cleared her throat.

"This is Marinette, she's the daughter of my fathers best friend." Chloe said while looking at her perfectly manicured nails.

The guy nodded "I'm Luka" He smiled

I waved awkwardly. I truly suck at meeting new people, my awkwardness never seized to amaze me.

Luka turned back to Chloe before taking a quick glance at me "So Chloe, I'm having a party tomorrow night and I was hoping you guys could come? "

Chloe shrugged "Sure, why not? And also, I'm bringing Marinette with me"

"Of course! That would be awesome! " He then turned to me "I'll see you tomorrow then "

I nod "I guess so... "

He stared at me for awhile until he heard Chloe clear her throat "Uh-you might not want to mess with this one Luka. Trust me"

"She has a boyfriend? " Luka asked raising a brow

"Uhm no-but-" She groaned "Just trust me"

Luka ignored her and turned back his attention to me. I didn't even noticed that he was standing so close "I'll see you tomorrow? "

I gulped "Y-yeah, I'll see you-"

"Luka"

Everyone turned to the owner of the voice and there stood a very annoyed Adrien.

What's his problem?

"Adrien! How have you been?" Luka asked, still not moving from his current spot. This only made Adrien more annoyed.

"Aren't you suppose to be with your Girlfriend?" Adrien's voice was low followed by a growl.

Was that even possible?

"Oh, you mean Anna?" Luka chuckled "we broke up hours ago. Saw her making out with James at the back. She's not even worth it. So, I just let them" Luka said before shrugging

Me and Adrien made eye contact for a brief second before I looked down. Something about his stare made my stomach flip. It's weird. It's a good weird.

"Marinette"

"Huh?" I look up, only to see Adrien in front of me. I didn't even noticed he moved.

"How did you-"

Before I could finish my sentence, he abruptly held my wrist painfully as his eyes turned a shade of black "Ow! Adrien-What the-what the hell happened to your eyes?!"

I heard gasps while Adrien ignored me and kept his glare. His eyes still a shade of black, fear crept through me as I shook. I felt like crying but held the tears and bit my lower lip.

I felt a hand on my waist pulling me away from Adrien's dark intense gaze. I heard a growl and I snap my head up to look at Luka. Hile was gritting his teeth while glaring at Adrien.

"Luka! Let her go! You'll get yourself killed! " I heard Chloe shout

I turned to look at Adrien and gasped. His eyes were no longer black but instead it's now a dark shade of red. He snarled as two sharp teeth poked out from his mouth.

Are those fangs?!

"What the hell is going on?! " I asked as I looked around. I spotted Chloe who is now at the corner with Kim.

I tried to pull myself out from Lukas hold but he didn't let me. Instead, he tightens his hold on my hips making me flinch. Pretty sure that's gonna leave a bruise.

"Let her go, Luka!" Adrien snarled

Luka stayed silent but never loosens his hold on me. I watch as Adrien growled again and in a blink of an eye, he pulled me away from Luka and pushed me back. Hard. I hit my back on the wall and groaned in pain.

I opened my eyes and saw my vision start to blur and frantic muffled voices was all I hear before I blacked out.
