Summer the Leader. Dewey the fired subsitute

~Summer~

These past few months have been awesome for me. I never realized how free you feel when you are single. Freddy made me feel like I always needed to do something for him. Like I was his slave and not even his girlfriend. But now, I'm living the single life and no one is going to make me feel like that again.

I hope Kale got what she wanted; my boyfriend. Zack and Tomika's lovey-dovey relationship doesn't even make me jealous of what I don't have anymore. I just zone them out when they are acting all couplely or kissing or anything. Same with Lesme.

Freddy and I don't talk anymore, though he has tried to start conversations with me but I ignore him. He just needs to accept that I am done him and I don't need his pity, lies, or apologies. I'm done Freddy Huerta.

I am currently sitting in my room playing with my cat, Kira. If I'm down in life, Kira the Kitty always cheers me up. She is like my best friend, when I don't have Tomika.

"Summer! Get ready for your last day of school! You don't want to be late, do you?" My mom called from outside my room as she slowly opened the door.

"Oh. I see you are already awake." She pointed out. "How about you go get ready and I'll give Kira some milk?" She suggested and I sighed handed her my cat.

After getting ready, I ate the breakfast my mom made for me and walked to school. When I got there, I saw Tomika and Zack at the front entrance of the school.

"Hey, Tomiks! Hey Zack!" I greeted as they noticed me coming. "Hey Summer! What's shakin?" Tomika asked. "Oh nothing. Just enjoying life. What are you two doing?" I asked.

"We're talking about a cool skateboard trick Tomika is about to do." Zack explained as Tomika got herself ready.

"Yeah, I've been practicing it for a while now and I'm going to do it in front of everybody." She strapped on her knee pads as Zack and I backed up to give her space.

"Here we go!" She said and skated off. She skated fast over to the stairs railing and jumped onto the railing as she landed in front of the school door which were open. She went through the hallways, ducking under projects and Mr. Finn's legs. She was going straight towards someone and they didn't look like they were going to move.

"WATCH OUT!" She warned as I noticed the person was Freddy. He wasn't paying attention because he was talking to Kale. "I SAID WATCH OUT!" She yelled again and his attention turned to her but it was too late to move.

Tomika had crashed right into Freddy, causing them both to fall to the ground. Zack and I watched from a distance as he got up and offered to help her up. She took his hand and he pulled her up from the ground.

"Thanks." She smiled. "Anytime, T" He smiled back and hugged her. I looked over to Zack who had a blank expression on his face.

"Doesn't that make you jealous?" I asked and he turned to look at me. "Why would that make me jealous?" He asked in confusion. "Well, because your girlfriend is hugging your ex bestfriend for longer than friends hug." I pointed out and he looked back at the pair.

"I trust that Tomika is only ensuring he's okay. They're nothing more than friends." Zack told himself. They released the hug and Tomika made her way back over to us.

"Are you okay, babe?" Zack hugged her. "I'm okay, Zack. I'm just bummed. Freddy messed up my cool new trick." She sighed and we chuckled. "You can do it tomorrow, okay?" He told her and she nodded.

We made our way to class and took our seats. Mr. Finn was already there so class started right away.

"So as you all know, today is the last day of school. And I know you all don't want to do work? Right?" Mr. Finn scanned the room. "Hmm. I thought so. Anyway, I know you all brought your water guns, water balloons, and spray paints so how about we just make this day fun?" Mr. Finn said and everybody got excited.

"Mr. Finn, Principal Mullins doesn't allow vandalism here." I said and he rolled his eyes. "So? The water will just dry and she'll never see it again." He said and started filling up water balloons and shaking spray cans up.

"This is going to be so fun!" Tomika got up and started to help Mr. Finn and other students did so as well.

I slowly stood and followed along. "Everybody, outside!" Mr. Finn cheered as the class ran outside to spray paint the building. I slowly walked behind them, feeling vulnerable. I don't know why but all of a sudden, after seeing Freddy I feel an emptiness inside me. Like I actually do need him in my life.

I try to brush the feeling off and ran to catch up to my classmates. Just to find them being yelled at by Principal Mullins.

"What is the meaning of this?" She yelled while Clark stood by her side. "Mr. Finn, I know very well that students like to pull pranks on the last day but the pranks being led by a teacher is not tolerated here." She scolded Mr. Finn.

"I'm sure Mr. Finn just wanted to make our last day fun." I budged in. "Summer, the last day is not a slack off day. Its a regular school day where you do work, it gets graded, and you either pass or fail. This is unacceptable." She shook her head.

"Please, if you would just let him off with a warning?" I begged. "No. Mr. Finn has received too many warnings this school year, most for stealing my lunch, other teachers lunch and the donuts in the staff room, others for causing trouble in the hallways and a bunch of other things I can't even remember." She said.

"And I even looked into his records because his teaching was too good to be true, and I found that he doesn't even have a license in teaching. I have hired a fake this entire time. And work has gone around that he teaches you ROCK music?! Yeah, you're fired, Mr. Finn." She said and walked away.

"I'm sorry. I failed you guys. I ruined your education and a part of your lives. I have to go." Mr. Finn sighed and walked to the classroom to collect his things.

"Guys, we have to save Mr. Finn's job. AND FAST!" I told everyone and they all nodded. We headed to principal Mullins office to demand his job back but I had no idea what I was going to say but everyone sees me as their leader and I need to show that I am.

A/N: Hey guys! Sorry for that extreme wait. I've been like SOO piled up with school work. It's crazy. But I'm done with all that crap so now I'm going to be updating A LOT more often. Sorry this one was short and trashy but next chapter will be A LOT better!
