As usual everyone had fun in the business class, today Miss Ashley decided to make us design personalities for the different management principles (I know it sounds weird but trust me it was fun). The loud bell signaled us to start packing our bags and get ready to leave school, I mentally ticked off another day of school and sighed in relief one less day to go.As I walked out of the class with Megan discussing about this new movie that everyone were talking about, I suddenly fell a tug on my bag causing me to stumble as I whipped my head around ready to shout at whoever dared to pull my bag I found a pair of bright hazel eyes staring at me.
"Zeke..." I breathed out. The smartest and most attractive guy in my grade was standing behind me flashing his brilliant smile at me Ah... how I wish I was the only one he smiled at like that.
"Krystal...? You uh... okay?" I blinked and saw his beautiful face staring down at me (you know... because he's so tall... duh) I coughed once, twice and then it just turned into a coughing fit I don't know why instead of focusing attention elsewhere I was just drawing it to myself.
Aware of this unwanted attention I blushed (my ears turned red not exactly "blushing" but whatever) and people started gathering around me offering me water (how sweet). After my coughing fit, Zeke who had been kind enough to offer me water and allowed me to sit down peacefully, looked at me and said,
"Now that you've calmed down I guess I can I ask you what I wanted to ask you earlier... it's uh... do you have Abigail's number? I've had this humongous crush on her since 10th grade and had no idea how to ask her."
Now at this moment all I could think was, "Wow this seems familiar ... almost like a dejavu but not exactly." That's when it clicked this is EXACTLY what happens in "The DUFF" except I didn't even get to eat all that tasty and mind you FREE food, he just directly asked me without going through any effort.
Because I'm a nice person I told him that my phone just died and I don't know the number of my best friend whom I've been friends with for 9 years. Yeah, I lied but it was for a good cause that is, if Abby DID date him I would be drooling over my best friend's boyfriend and that's bad.
So after I said so to him he gave me a disappointed smile and walked away and while I was staring at his retreating self I felt someone tap me, I turned around to find the janitor who asked me to move as he wanted to clean the place.
I walked towards the exit gate of my school just humming a song and thinking about the events that took place today when it suddenly started to rain. I ran as fast as I could lest I catch a cold.
I reached my house, got changed annoyed my sister (Ruby she just turned 9) and walked into the kitchen to grab my lunch, as I moved closer to the kitchen I could hear sounds of people talking and laughing.
The door was slightly ajar and I could see a glimpse of my mom and this other lady talking and my vision just focused on the slice of pizza my mom was holding.
Considering that my old neighbors just moved out a few weeks ago and the amount of new furniture and number of shifting trucks I saw below my building in the past few weeks it's kinda obvious that the new people have moved in.
But I had never seen the new neighbors until now... assuming the lady conversing with my mom IS the new neighbor.
I tried moving closer and get a sneak peek at the lady but ended up slipping from the higher level of ground I was standing on and banging my head on the door obviously all attention now turned to me and my mom opened the door wider exposing my embarrassed self staring at the "new neighbor".
"Oh! you arrived, we were just talking about you!" said my mom.
I awkwardly smiled and said, "Well... something good I hope" the lady laughed.
"Yeah, yeah your mom was just telling me about your new artwork. Oh! Where are my manners, I'm Mrs. Parker but you can call me Delia."
I smiled and shook her hand, suddenly she turned towards her house and shouted, "Nickkyyy!!!!" I widened my eyes in surprise thinking it's probably her daughter at least my sister will have someone to play with... if she's Ruby's age that is.
But to my surprise I saw a tall, cute guy with a sullen expression, clad in pajamas walk out their door. I snorted holding back my laughter and looked at my mom to find her suppressing a smile as well. "Nicky" walked towards us and whined,
"I was JUST beating the high score why'd you call me?" I rolled my eyes and asked, "Of which game?" "Candy Crush" he mumbled. I snorted again, crossed my arms and took a closer look at the guy.
He was handsome for sure with dark brown eyes, dark hair an upturned nose with some freckles scattered around and a lithe body (can't really say if he's muscular cuz... obviously I haven't seen him shirtless duh but he was lean).
"Take my picture and stare at it all you want, don't stare at me in person it's creepy" he drawled.
"No thanks I only take pictures of attractive people" I lied.
Rolling his eyes he whined "Mom I want to go back home the high score isn't gonna beat itself."
That's the moment where my sweet, wonderful and naive mother decides to pose this question or rather ordered me "Krystal why don't you take Nicholas (So that's what "Nicky" is short for) to your room and spend some time with him?"
