The next few days crawl by slowly. Tobias stayed with me, and I haven't seen anyone else since I left the bureau. We decided it was best that we adjust to each other before I'm put in with the rest of them. I feel like an Erudite experiment.

Tobias and I passed the time by nicely. We talked. About everything. Everything that happened in the past two years. Tobias' stories were detailed and very interesting, unlike mine. Yet Tobias still insisted that I tell mine.

"It's more of a story than stories" I tell Tobias. I don't even know why he wants to know.

"C'mon Tris, I wanna hear!" He exclaims with a childish voice as he mockingly pouts. I chuckle and he sticks out his tongue. I can immediately tell that he has been hanging out with Christina-I know no one else who acts like this.

"Well," I begin, and Tobias' face changes and becomes intent. I sigh. "I woke up, got something to eat, went upstairs, took a shower, got dressed, came back downstairs, sat in the spot you're in," I gesture towards where he is sitting "ate dinner, and went to bed." Tobias stays in his intent stance, as if waiting for more. "That's it. I've done that every day until three days ago." I confirm.

"Well, that's...dull." He says, sitting back up.

"I was supposed to be dead! What was I gonna do?" I ask giggling and I playfully punch him. I laughed for a second more until I saw the expression on his face.

Tobias sighs. "You didn't have to be dead. Why did you leave? You didn't have to- no one wanted you to. Why Tris?" Tobias says as his eyes glass over.

I sigh and look away. "It doesn't matt-"

"Yes it does!" he cuts me off. "It does matter! I was in misery for two and a half years, Tris!" He stands and kneels before me. "I need you. I can't live without you, especially now, now that I know I didn't lose you."

I don't want to look him in the eye, it'll just make me cry. But I have no choice.

"I was messing everything up" I try to say, but it only comes out as a whisper.

"What do you mean?" Tobias whispers, only a few decibels louder than I was. "How were you messing everything up?"

I sniff and give up. I have to tell him.

"I'm different, Tobias."

Tobias snickers. "I'm aware of that Tr-"

"No!" I cut him off. "I'm really different."

---------------------------------------------DO YOU HATE ME? I would 😂

I can't wait for you guys to hear what's up with Tris. I'll give you a hint, she's not a cyborg. (I guess that wasn't really a hint more than it was a theory crusher...)

What are your theories? Comment them!
