The end (Zombie)

My eyes widened as I heard the first sentence, how could this happen, why would dad be dead already, I listened more to what he said,

"I didn't told you this for so long, but I will now. Months ago, I couldn't move on from your mother's death, I kept blaming myself for what happened to her, I couldn't stand looking at her corpse, I wanted her to be alive, I know we never got along since she died, but I made the biggest mistake in my life, I tried bringing her back to life, It took me two weeks before it worked." The voicemail stopped,

I opened the second one.

"I was really happy, I thought about not telling you first because it was supposed to be a surprise, just then the next day, that's when I knew something was wrong, her eyes were reddish, and her skin was bleeding, and that night, when we were taking care of patients, she slowly walked to them and started biting them."

"The day I went home late, it was because the patients that she bit became like her, they started to bite other patients, we had no choice, all of the bitten patients, we had to put them in a cage, until the day we were gonna study them, we took only one but he started screaming and struggling and he got out." The third voicemail ended,

I opened the fourth one.

"He got lost, but we knew they were slow so we thought maybe they haven't gone far, but this week, I saw that there was something on our road, I saw it bit a man, the man escaped, but I knew he turned just like them, And right now, I didn't came home, we're trapped in the Hospital. Yesterday, I got a call from Dr. William saying that they were shaking and they were screaming, he also said that one of them bit Faye, that's why I had to go there and that's when I knew they were already around the Hospital, not just the Hospital but the whole town as well." The voicemail stopped,

And I opened the last one.

"I don't know if it'll reach to the other places, Christian, Audrey, I love you two, I hope you forgive me for my mistake, and Kath thank you for being the very best friend that Audrey had and being the very best girlfriend Christian had, I hope you all survive, whether you might be with another person, I wish he or she survives, Thank you all."

That's all the voicemail, Audrey started tearing up and biting her fingernail, and suddenly he sat straight and looked at me.

"Why don't we go to the Hospital?" Audrey asked,

"I do want to but what for?" I responded,

"Maybe dad is still alive, he might be trapped in one of the rooms." Audrey said,

"Well, Kath? Ethan? Is it okay if we go to the Hospital first?" I asked,

They both nodded, Audrey smiled at me so we made our way to the Hospital. We arrived at the Hospital, It was quiet and I could see that inside was a mess, there were broken glasses on the floor, we prepared our guns, though Kath was still kinda scared so I just went by her side, Audrey held the gun tightly, ready to pull the trigger if a zombie comes out, We heard noises and a zombie appeared at our far right, I told Kath to shoot it herself, she was scared so I comforted her first and told her she can do it, she successfully pull the trigger to the zombie, the zombie fell and I smiled at Kath.

The elevator still works so we used it instead of escalator or stairs, we first went to the second floor and we prepared ourselves, Me and Audrey checked the sides first before stepping out the elevator, there were lots of room to check so instead we made noises outside every room, everytime we would make noises, we would check our back and at the side if a zombie came.

We did the same at the third floor but there wasn't any response until we reached the fourth floor, when we reached the second floor, we heard a man's voice spoke, he was looking for help, so we went in, and Me and Audrey became happy as we saw our Dad, he was sitting at the corner with a briefcase, but he was breathing heavily.

"Dad, we're here." I said,

"Christian, Audrey, take this briefcase." He said,

"Yeah we'll take it, come on dad." I said,

When I pulled his arm I saw something.

"Dad, you're bitten."
