The end (Zombie)

Chapter 8

Ethan

I picked out ten water bottles and sodas while Audrey had half of the bag with juices, I don't know why she likes juices but I didn't bother, I kept looking for more sodas but there were more beers, it's not kind of my thing right now but I had no choice, I took five beers and my bag was filled already, so was Audrey's, she happily carried the bag on her left arm and the gun at her right hand, she smiled at me like none of this ever happened, just then we started leaning each other, Audrey's smile suddenly vanished.

"Do you hear that?" She asked,

"What is it?" I asked,

Just then I heard zombies but we didn't knew where until I saw the car, Katherine was screaming and zombies were surrounding the car.

"They're in danger." I said,

"I'll fire my gun." Audrey said,

Audrey pointed her gun at one of the shelves and shot it, the zombies started to turn in our direction, they started to come, and Audrey wasn't even scared, she seriously pointed her gun at the zombies, the zombies slowly walked to us, just then Audrey tried pulling the trigger, she hit the zombie right in the forehead, then her second one and finally the third one, but when she tried shooting the fourth one, she realized she didn't had bullets anymore.

"Ethan, kill those zombies." Audrey said,

I tried shooting the zombies but I kept missing, I finally shot two but when I pulled the trigger again, I didn't had bullets anymore.

"Let's run." Audrey said,

We ran vastly, she held her gun tight and so did I, we ran until we were far from where we were.

"We have to go back in the car." Audrey said,

"How? There are bunch of zombies there." I said,

"They're slow, Ethan. You're a boy and boys are fast at running, I am a girl and I run fast because my mother trained me and we will do it." She said,

I nodded and we ran, just then a zombie blocked our way but Audrey tackled it, she immediately stood and ran again, but she immediately reached me from my side, but we stopped when three zombies blocked our way, we tried backing away but there were zombies at our back too, we ran from the side but zombies blocked it too, then we heard gunshots.

"Here!" Christian shouted,

We immediately ran towards Christian but when I was about to reach him, a zombie managed to hold me and we fell, the zombie tried biting me, so I tried pushing it, then the zombie was thrown at my side by Audrey shooting it, we vastly ran to the car where Kath was in the driver's seat, we immediately went in the car and Kath drove away.

"So? Where to go?" She asked,

"I don't know, we can't travel at night, let's just go back to where we were supposed to stay." Audrey said,

"Okay." Kath said,

Kath drove back to the place where we were and rested, Christian changed seat with Audrey so Me and her were at the passenger's seat already, They all fell asleep except Me and Audrey, she hadn't slept like hours.

"Audrey, you have to sleep, it's gonna be a long trip tomorrow." I said,

"I don't know, I feel tired but I can't sleep." Audrey said,

"Why? Because of what's happening today?" I asked,

"Well kinda." She responded,

"Well, tell me, did you really meant to do that earlier?" I asked,

"What do you mean?" She asked,

"About earlier." I said,

"Oh, that." She said,

"Yeah, did you mean it?" I asked,

"Umm... I don't know, what about you?" She asked,

"I asked you first." I said,

"That's my answer, I don't know." She said,

"It's gotta be like, yes or no?" I said,

"Well maybe." She said,

"You?" She asked,

"Maybe, I guess." I responded,

Then she randomly laughed.

"What's so funny?" I asked,

"Nothing." She said as she shook her head,

I narrowed my eyes on her, and I fell asleep. I woke up and Audrey kept rubbing my shoulder.

"Ethan, wake up." She said,

"What happened?" I asked,

"What happened? I'm just trying to wake you up." Audrey said,

"Did you sleep?" I asked,

"No." Audrey said,

"What? I knew you didn't slept." Christian said,

"Sorry, let's go now." Audrey said,

We traveled along, we kept stopping and we would change who will continue to drive, just when it was Audrey's turn to drive, she looked well and she was smiling a little, then suddenly she blacked out.
