The next big event in 1963, was JFK's funeral. Jackie wore a black Givenchy suit that was made up of a jacket and a skirt. For the funeral, Jackie had a custom made veil. Jackie said she wanted a veil that could cover her face but not hide her completely.

There is evidence, Jackie wore the suit before the funeral. Unsure of the skirt, but knowledge of the jacket for sure. She wore it to JFK Jr's christening, the funeral of the US Ambassador to Spain, Anthony Biddle and Eleanor Roosevelt's funeral too.

After the funeral, Jackie wore the suit a final two times. One on December 3rd for an award's presentation to honour the bravery of Clint Hill, who was the Secret Service agent who jumped onto the Presidential limosuine after JFK was shot. And then a final time on December 5th to leave the White House.

Not many people know where the original suit is. The JFK library doesn't have it in their posessions and they also don't have the coats worn by Caroline and John-John at the funeral either. Many people assume, the Kennedys still own all three costumes.
