"A little part of me always thought" - Archie

Archie's POV
I walk up to Betty's door. *knock knock* The door slowly opens. "Oh Archie, come in. I'm sure Betty will be down soon." Alice says.
"Thank you Mrs Cooper." I reply.
"Betty, Archie's here to walk you to school." Alice yells to Betty.
"I'm here." Betty enters. "You ready to go Arch."
"Yeah" I reply.
"Archie, why don't you and you're dad come over to dinner, it's just Betty and I at home and it gets lonely sometimes." Alice's asks.
"Yeah I'll ask him, I'll make sure we'll come." I reply.
"Perfect, I'll invite FP and Jughead too, it can be just like old times." She replies before waking away. I saw Betty rolls her eyes at that. "Are you ok with seeing Jug again?" I ask.

Betty's POV
"Are you ok with seeing Jug again?" Archie asks.
"Yeah I'm totally fine it's just, not like old times." I reply. There was no denying I was upset.

Archie's POV
I heard the sadness in Betty's voice. I didn't hesitate. I stoped right there and hugged her. I let her know I cared. "Your not alone Betty, you have me" I say before letting go.

Betty's POV
Archie's hug was warm and caring. It made feel safe. Cared for. I don't know why what happened but something came over me. I leaned in a kissed him, with passion. "Betty." He says.
"Shh." I reply, as he kisses first this time. The sparks were flying.

Archie's POV
The kisses shared between me and Betty left my heart beating. I didn't them to end but we did have to go to school. My head was with the clouds. For the rest of the I was smiling. "Ghee Arch, smile for once." Jug jokes. I laugh. "Let me guess, you and V are back on?" He asks.
"No Jughead." I reply.
"Hmm so theres another girl." He states. I let out smile. "ooo so there is, what's this mysterious girls name?" He asks. I couldn't tell him it was Betty. Not yet. Especially when theres not exactly anything going on between us. "Don't worry jug." I say as Betty walks past, I couldn't help but stare. She smiles back. "Oh I see what's happening." Jug claims.
"What?" I reply back in shock.
"There's no girl, you probably just had a good meal." He reply's.
"Oh jug, you caught me." I laugh.

Betty's POV
I'm in cheerleading training. "Hey B, you've know Archie since you were a kids." Veronica states.
"Yes." I reply, continuing to stretch.
"The other night, I tried to kiss him, but he pulled away and we haven't talked since. What could I do to win him back." She asks.
"Honestly V, it sounds like he needs space, give it to him, and when he's ready he'll talk to you. I promise you." I say.
"Thanks B, you're a great friend." She replies give me a hug. Was I really a good friend. I was kissing her ex behind her back. That exactly what you'd call great friendship. What ever was happening between Arch and I was a dangerous game for the friendships of the core four.

Archie's POV
I look a round trying to find Betty sitting at a table. I finally spot her and her perfect ponytail all alone. I walk over to her as fast as I can. "Hey Betty." I wave.
"Archie, hi." She smiles back.
"How has your day been?" I ask starting conversation.
"Normal, how about you?" She keeps the conversation going.
"Same old same old." I reply. I looked into her sparkly eyes and she looked back. Then we were interrupted. "Hey guys." Kevin says sitting down. "Where's Veronica and Jughead." He ask. He looks at us and we just look back. "No way, Varchie and Bughead are over?" He ask.
"Yes Kev." Betty replies.
"Does that mean yous guys are a thing?" He asks. Betty and I look at each other and smile. "Ok you guys don't need to reply to that, I know what that look means." He claims eating his food.
"Kev, you can't tell anyone." Betty states. "No one can know, not until Arch and I talk about it with Jug and V ok." She continues.
"Betty, your secrets says with me." Kevin says.

Betty's POV
I'm at home getting ready for the dinner when my mum yells out. "Betty our guest will be arriving soon." I get up and walk down the stairs into the kitchen. "You look nice sweetie, trying to impress Jughead?" She ask.
"Actually no mum. Jughead and I broke up." I reply.
"Oh I hope this won't make the dinner awkward then." She states.
"No mum, it will be fine, we're still friends." I reply and give her a smile. *ding dong* I'll get it Mum. I hope the door. "Me Andrews, Archie, good evening." I smile.
"Hey Betty, hi Alice, thank you for having us." Fred says as he walks in.
"Pleasure." My mum says. Before we know it Jughead and FP are here too. We all sit down for dinner. I sit beside my mum and Archie. Ok the other side, Jughead FP and Fred sit, Jug directly in front of me. After dinner finishes all the parents sit down and talk. Arch, Jug and I got to my bedroom and talk. It kinda feels awkward. "You too were especially friendly at dinner." Jughead states
"Jug, Archie and I have bee been bestfriends since we were four years old of course were friendly with each other" I say.
"Well I know that, it's just reminds me of old time." Jughead claims.
"What do you mean?" Archie asked.
"It reminds me from when Betty would be too scared to admit her feelings, and to when you Archie, didn't even know your feelings from Betty." Jughead states.
"Jughead, I think that's in the past." I say.
"Ok." He replies. That's made the rest of the night awkward. I couldn't help but think. Did Archie really like me back then? I'm back to being the clueless Betty.
