Part 14: Home?

Betty's POV
"Mum I have to tell you something." I whisper.
"Yes Betty?" She asks.
"I'm the reason this story is out. The black hood, he called me again, he told me to tell him who the dad was or he'd kill Archie. I panicked." I explain.
"BETTY, how could you? I trusted you, you're the only family I had left. Pack your stuff you're leaving." She finish.
"Alice don't you think that is a bit harsh, she was pressured by the towns serial killer." FP buts in.
"You can't tell me what to do with my daughter. Betty you better be out by the time I get out." She says storming off. I run upstairs and start packing all my clothes and important things. Once I grab everything I need I walk downstairs again. "Betty, I'll talk to your mum and get you back here as soon as possible. For now here's the key to my trailer stay there." FP states.
"Please do talk to my mum, but I'm fine, ill be staying at Cheryl's." I explain, tears still falling from my checks. When I walked outside, I was planning on going to Cheryl's, but I turned and went to Archie's.

Archie's POV
I was confused when I opened the door to a Betty with tears poring from her face. "Betty...." I saw wrapping her into my arms. "Wha happened?" I ask.
"They story about my mum's baby got out. I told her it was me and... an...d and she kicked me out." She explains breaking down into tears.
"Come on let's get you inside." I claim. I take her upstairs to my room, sit her down then walk but downstairs. "What's happening with Betty?" My dad ask.
"Her mum kicked her out, over the black hood." I explain. "Dad the black hood had hurt everyone I care about, you, Betty, Moose, Midge. How am I meant to stay here and do nothing?" I ask.
"Archie, you have to stay safe. We don't want you to get hurt like we did." My dad states. "Everything will work out in the end."

Betty's POV
Sitting in Archie's room, I was staring out the window into my room. I remember every memory I have with my mum, my dad and Polly in that one room. My family, we were all divided. "Hey I brought you a glass of water." Archie says. "Betty everyone will work out in the end." I state.
"I really hope you're right Archie." I reply. "Cheryl will be here to get me soon." I state.
"You know if you need you can stay here." He offers.
"Thanks Archie, it's just a bit too close to home." I state.
"I understand he replies." Bringing me into a hug. The suddenly I knew the torture was beginning again. "Is that...."
"The black hood." I cut him off. "Hello?" I answer putting the phone on speaker.
"Did you like my treat?" The mystery voice ask.
"Why are you tearing my family apart?" I ask.
"It's m exactly what your mother deserves." It claims.
"No one deserves this." I snap.
"Oh dear Betty, don't snap at me, you don't know who I could hurt." It laughs back. "We'll be in touch." The black hood says before hanging up. "Betty I'm not leaving you alone while the black hood is calling you." Archie claims.
"Archie, whoever it is wants revenge on my mum. This is a good clue. Who in riverdale hates my mum?" I ask.
"Betty, no offence, but that could he half of the town." Archie replies.
"You're right." I sigh. "I just thought maybe, just maybe. I could work it out."
"Betty, the black hood wont get away with this. The person under the mask, will be found." Archie reassures me. He makes me feel safe, he always done.
C: hey cousin Betty I'm out the front.
B: on the way.
"I have to go Arch, Cheryl is here." I explain.
"Let me come too." He explains.
"Maybe later." I say as I leave. On the way out I pass Mr Andrews. "Thanks for having me the past hour or 2 Mr Andrews." I explain.
"Anytime Betty, but please call me Fred." He replies. I nod, as I continue to the door Archie by my side. "If the black hood calls you again you tell me straight away." He states.
"Yes Archie." I reply.
"You stay safe okay?" Archie continues.
"Yes I will." I laugh.
"Are you laughing at me being a protective boyfriend?" Archie asks.
"Of course not." I say stepping on my top toes giving him a kiss.
"I guess that makes up for it." He laughs.
"I should go but I'll see you soon." I reply before leaving. I walk up to Cheryl's car and put my bags in the back. "Finally, I thought you were going to be locked to Archie lips forever." She states.
"Ha ha, very funny." I laugh. We leave the driveway, and I look out the window staring at my house, which once was a family home.

Archie POV
J: Archie, I need to talk to you about Betty.
A: look if it's about her mum kicking her out I know.
J: no it's not just about that. Just met me at pops in 10.
A: fine.
When I arrive at pops, Jughead is already there. "Okay so what do we need to know about Betty?" I ask.
"You honestly aren't starting without me are you?" I look up and see Veronica.
"No, no, of course not." Jughead claims. "Please sit down." He gestures. Veronica sits down next to him. "Thanks Juggie." She says.
"So please what's going on with Betty?" I ask.
"So my dad asked me to message Betty and see how she was, because he's trying to work things out with her mum. Betty wouldn't reply to any of my text. So I messaged Cheryl. She said Betty has gone completely crazy trying to work out who the black hood is. She's pacing and pacing. She not eating, she completely out of control." Jughead says.
"We have to help her." I state.
"Why do you think I got you two here?" Jughead states.

Betty's POV
You could say I went crazy. You could say I went all Nancy Drew. I wasn't dropping this case not until I figured out who the black hood was. The black hood would pay for all he did.
