Chapter 10: B and V

Archie's POV
The past week had been anything but easy. Replaying over and over in my head was who would I pick. I knew I had to decide quickly before I lost both of them but how could I possibly pick.

Betty's POV
Things have been awkward at school recently. Anytime Arch, V or I are the the same room things turn weird. I hope it ends soon, I don't know how much more awkwardness I can take.

Archie's POV
I walked down stairs to grab some food from the fridge when my dad stops me in the kitchen. "Arch, has something been on you're mind lately?" He asks.
"No", I lie "why do you ask?"
"You've just been acting differently." He states. I begin to walk upstairs, "actually dad can I ask you something?" I asks.
"Always son." He replies.
"Can you love two people at the same time?" I question.
"Well of course son, there's just different types of love. If I was you if figure out on which ways you love them before it's too late." He replies.
"Thanks dad, that actually helps a lots." I reply. "I'm actually going to head out now." I state.
"See you later then." He replies as I flash through the door.

Later on I arrive at Jughead's trailer. "Hey Archie what's up?" Jug says inviting me in.
"I need you help with my feelings." I state.
"Finally choosing between Betty and Veronica?" He assumes. I nod. "Let's start simple then. How do you feel when someone mentions Veronica?" He asks.
"Veronica is my ex, a girl from my past who I share many great memories with. I love her but it's not the same as it used to be, it never will be. She's my friend." I state.
"Alright, now what about Betty?" He asks.
"I don't even know where to begin with Betty. She's my bestfriend, she understands me like no one else does. I've loved her for as long as I can remember but it's changed over time. We've gone through so much but she's never giving up hope on me." I state.
"Arch, I think it clear to both of us who you pick." He claims.
"You're right Jug. Thank you for this." I state.
"Don't thank me, just promise me we can hang out again soon." He says.
"You know what, right now we can." I reply to him. And we spend the rest of day hanging out and playing video games.

Betty's POV
I need to make this right with Veronica. We're best friends, and a boy shouldn't come between us.
B: V can we talk?
V: nows not a good time.
B: are you seriously going to let a boy come between us?
V: me? You think I started this? Do I need to remind you this only started when you kissed him on Christmas Eve. And let's not forget about all those kisses in the street.
B: how do you know about those?
V: you two aren't the only ones who walk to school, word travels fast. Have you ever heard of girl code Betty? You never mess with friends Ex.
B: you want to talk about girl code, how about when you kissed him when you knew I liked him?
There was no reply. Wow, we really are going to let a boy come between us. What's it's going to do with Jughead and I?
B: Hey Jug, you're not bad about what happened between Archie and I are you?
J: Betty, it's fine. You and I weren't meant to work out that way, we're still best friends and I couldn't be happier.
B: thanks Jug.

Archie's POV
"Dude, I think Betty and Veronica had a fight over you again." Jughead says.
"Well I guess it's time I face the music and make it clear." I state. "Thanks for all you're help Jug." I stay before leaving.
A: met me a Pop's?
I send a text before I begin to walk to Pop's.

Betty's POV
I decide to send a message to the group chat of Cheryl, Kevin and I.
B: Anyone for a milkshake at Pop's?
K: I would but I'm having a family dinner with my dad and mayors McCoy. Wish me luck.
C: I'm up for it met you there, luck kev
B: see you there Cher, and Luck Kev

Later at Pop's
Cheryl and I arrive at pop's at the same time. We look through the window where I see Archie and Veronica drinking milkshake laughing and smiling. "He chose Veronica." I whisper.
"What?" Cheryl says confuse. Then she follows my eyes where she sees them too. "Oh cousin Betty, it's his lost not yours. Forget Pop's let's go back to your house and watch movies." She claims. I nod and begin our walk back to my house.

Later at the Coopers House
"So Hannah chooses Jake over Jessie?" Cheryl states.
"Yes." I say.
"But he cheated on her." She claims.
"Yep but she stays with Jake." I reply.
"Are they endgame?" She asks.
"No spoilers, you'll just have to keep watching." I say. I play the next episode. As the theme songs starts playing we both start singing.
"YOU GET THE LIMO OUT FRONT. HOTTEST STYLES, EVERY SHOE, EVER COLOUR." we are soon interrupted by a knock at the door. "Sorry to interrupt your singing but there's someone out the front for you Betty." My mum says before leaving.
"I'll be back Cheryl you keep watching." I say before grabbing my coat and walking down stairs.

Archie's POV
I met with Veronica at Pop's I need to tell her everything first. Her and I are staying friends, and I'm hoping she'll rekindle her friendship with Betty too. Now I'm watching for Betty in her front yard. She looks surprised when she opens her door and I was there.

Betty's POV
I was shocked when I saw Archie out the front. "I know why you're here." I state.
"Do you?" He asks.
"You chose Veronica, now you're hear to let me down easy." I claim.
"Do you remember the last time we were here at night." He asks.
"Yes, the night you kissed Veronica. Now you chose here you came to act it out again." I roll my eyes.
"Oh Betty you're so wrong." He smiles.

Archie POV
"You asked me if I loved you." I smile. "Now the answer is clear to me. Betty you're my bestfriend, you're understand me like no one else. I repeatedly hurt me yet you never give up hope on me. You're always there for me no matter what." I say.
"I guess I'm just trying to say." I pause. "Elizabeth Cooper, I love you."

Betty's POV
"Elizabeth Cooper, I love you." Archie states.
"Archie Andrews, I love you." I reply. With those words said we come into a passionate kiss. With more passion then there ever has been before. We pull away and a smile, before he pulls in for another kiss.

Archie's POV
Standing her with Betty in my arms. I knew I made the right choice. "What?" Betty asks as I stare at her smiling.
"I'm just admiring how beautiful my girlfriend is." I state.
"Girlfriend?" Betty asks.
"Yes." I say bringing her closer to my chest. I can feel her smile against it.
