Chapter 1: Cute Human?

Alas POV:

Life is boring down here! Ughhh! Okay so first off I really need to find something to do and second why is there a boy close to my home? I smirk there is my something to entertain me. I swim up close to the boy, I see something flash as he floats. I look at him and smile looking at his face from afar, he was looking around, he ran a wet hand through his hair. When he was close to looking at me I went under hoping he didn't see the end of my tail as I did...I may have been too late to go under.

I heard him curse and looked around, I swim under him looking at his feet and smiled. I ducked as he went under and looked around, I watch him smile. "Pretty ass handsome guy swims into my waters nice timing too" he looks around, his hair floating above his head. I smile and watch him debating on changing into my human form. He pops back up and sighs, he swims around aimlessly. I watch him entertained, I smirk and swim under him again. He stops and looks around again "The hell?" I smirk and let my tail tickle his feet before diving and hiding.

He moves swiftly away, hissing, I smile "he's so fascinating!" he goes under again. Looking around. I hum and let my human legs come out, swimming shorts appear on me as I swim out from my hiding space. He jerks back, swimming back up top. I swim around before swimming closer to him peeking my head up. "Who are you?" he asked quizzically, a weird thing on his lip shone. I smirk and dive under for a second then peeked up "names. Who needs them" he raised an eyebrow at me "I do."

I smirk "names Alas, what's your newcomer?" he scoffed "Ethan, where did you come from?" I smile and float on the water "under the water duh," he looked confused "what? How?" I smirk "I can hold my breath for a long time, how else" his eyes narrow "But I didn't see you...how...? Are you messin' with me?" I smirk and swim closer to him. "No I was exploring a reef" he moves away. I smirk and swim under him, swimming merman way. He pops down and looks at me. I keep swimming that way and do a circle, smirking, his watches me slowly. A glint of danger in his eyes. I smile and swim closer to him, then duck under him swimming behind him.

He turns and watches me, I swim and do a flip in the water do a circle again, he pops up and swims to his boat. I pout "aww he's leaving" he stops and turns "what?" I duck down and swim closer to his boat but stops, and swims back, changing into my merman form and diving down my tail flicking at the top as I swim down. I watched as he goes to shore. I swim down quickly seeing someone I shouldn't see. I swim home through a small entrance and see my father waiting for me. I squeak and look at him.

"Where were you?" I smirk "scaring away a human" he nods and swims up into the cave going to the air bubble and getting out changing back and sitting on the ground reading in the hidden cave we live in.
