Chapter 19: Nightmares

Ethan's POV:

I look around and sigh "The hell am I at?" I start to walk around the beach. I look down to see droplets of blood on the sand, I follow the trail to see someone laying on their side. Red hair covers their face, I kneel and move the hair away from their face. I gasp and scurry away "A-Alas?" I move slowly toward him slowly.

The world turns black as I hear screaming, I flinch when I feel something wet on my face. As I look down I see blood splattered everywhere, I look down to see a dagger in my hand and Alas face full of pain and horror.

I sit up and look around "Alas? Alas!" he walks into the room rubbing his eyes "yes...? I had to use the bathroom, calm down" I jump up and hug him tightly, burying my face in his neck. Why was I dreaming that? His eyes widen at my hug "Ethan? Ethan, what's wrong?" I back away and shake my head "Nothing, I thought you were caught" I can't let him know. He frowns and walks placing his hand on my cheek "baby this is the place I've stayed at for years, no one except you and Kuma knows. I'm fine I promise."

I nod and rub my neck "How long was I asleep?" he looks at me "we slept a few hours it's night now" I look around and sigh "I see," he frowns and hugs me closing his eyes again "I'm still tired" I chuckle "Then rest, I'm right here, but I'm going to take a shower first, alright?" he nods but wouldn't let go of me even when I started to walk, he walked with me.

"Alas?" I chuckle his eyes closed "but your warm Ethan, and the beds cold without you!" I laugh "But I have to take a shower, babe" he pouts and lets me go waddling to the bed and laying down curling up "its cold!" I laugh harder and shake my head.

I hop out and tie a towel around my waist, another one around my neck. I walk into the bedroom, Alas was curled up fast asleep, I chuckle and get dressed in a grey fitted tee and bright blue jeans with holes in them. I get in bed next to him and draw him closer, he curls up on me staying really close to me. I kiss his head and curl up around him, holding him as close as someone can be. He wraps his arm around me, I kiss his arm and play with his hair.

He sleeps for a while longer then wakes up rubbing his eyes, "E-Ethan..?" I smile softly "Yeah, babe?" he lays his head on my chest again "nothing just making sure you're here."

I smile and run my hand through his red hair "It's like fire," he closes his eyes "ironic how I'm almost always in the water though" I chuckle, he smiles and looks at me opening his eyes. I lean down and kiss him softly, he smiles and kisses me back moving into my lap. I bite his lip playfully, he smiles and straddles me whispering in my ear "what does daddy want?"
