Chapter 10: I need to save him!

Alas's POV:

No! No! She'll think he was the one hurting me! "I need to catch her" I wasn't breathing right, my heart was skipping beats and I felt light-headed. He nods slowly, confusion was written on his face "she thinks your the one that did this...she'll tell my parents and they'll kill you" I look at his pale face. He nods again and gets up, "Alright, go" I jump into the water changing as I swam to my sister. She stopped in front of my mother, "He was with a human," she hissed to my mother which looked angry and concerned.

I frown and swim towards her "shut up Kuma you don't even know everything" I hiss, she snarls "You were....were...kissing him! Mother!" my mom looks at me "Is that true? Is he the one who's been hurting you as well?" she crossed her arms. I growl "he's mine and no! Like I said I fell! But let's say, mom, I found out something about myself I never wanted to know" she motions my sister away as she leaves, once she far away I talk again "I'm a siren and you knew and said nothing that's why he's with me! But now I love him and he truly loves me!" she shakes her head.

"You know that isn't true, and a human? Did you...do it with him?" she asked softly, I frown "why should I tell you, you've lied to me my whole life! I've killed people! It haunts me now every day" she frowns "I was trying to protect you! Don't you dare speak to me that way! You're lucky that man is still alive! What if your father was home?" I grunt "I would say the same thing! I can't believe you guys lied to me, now I'm scared and afraid every day to go outside, to wake up be in a pool of blood! You protected what? The fact I have found out myself and I feel betrayed, and hurt" she growls, her silver eyes turning red "How dare you! I didn't lie about anything! You are not to see that man again until you can act like my son again! To the corals! Now!"

I look at her "no. Not until you can tell me the truth about my past! About what and who I am!" I swim away quickly to the cave. I peek my head up "Ethan I have to leave...I have to go somewhere else, which mean you can't come back here or my parents will kill you...I'm sorry for dragging you into this" he looks at me, confused and a hint of sadness "Yeah, alright, just....be safe..." I frown and wipe my eyes quickly "I'm so sorry...I want to be with you but right now if I am you'll die and I don't want that. I'm so so sorry..."

He moves to the edge and smiles softly "Stop sayin' sorry, I'll see you soon, yeah?" I sigh "I don't know..." he nods and kisses my forehead "You know where to find me," I nod and kiss him like I'll never kiss him again. He kisses me back and sighs, I frown "I must go..please be safe" I duck down and swim far, far away to a place my parents will never find me. I soon curl up on an island and fall asleep.
