Recap: Leo has been knocked unconscious, with a concerned Tyra by his side. The cause? The red light from the Crown of the Kingdom of Cats.

Elsewhere, the green-eyed shape-shifter enemy lays low, only to find a familiar brown-black feline hybrid about to kill him again in his recurring dream. He has vowed to kill her, before she kills him. The shape-shifter is finally successful in his endeavour, but for how long?

He was right. I didn't believe a word that Leo said he'd dreamt of. He'd described that he was at our favourite cliff, watching the view. He heard a voice calling for help below. It was me and I was drowning, being pulled into the ocean by mermaids. He jumped in to save me. Then he saw some light.

Okay, so hybrids, werewolves and shape-shifters existed, but mermaids were history. The last had died many millennia ago and were way past extinct. Furthermore, there had only been a few living at any one time. They had a tendency to die after one or two children. So the fact that the mermaids appeared was just an ordinary dream.

I told him about the strange red and white lights, but he didn't seem to be fazed by this. Apparently these were royal colours and they were guidance lights. The patterns had been the Crest of the Kingdom of Cats in the medieval times.

Leo showed me the pages on the crest from a book he'd brought in his backpack and told me the story. Apparently, this was common with those of royal blood or those in legitimate ownership of the crowns. The ring was passed down by generation and given to the Solar lady for engagement as part of a tradition. The ring was a part of the Queen's crown and when combined would radiate with white light.

I guessed that meant that the crowns had chosen us to be their owners and thus, the next King and Queen of the Kingdom of Cats, although it was really just an old castle in the distance.

Leo studied up, while I fell asleep. I was too tired to think much longer. Today had been a long day.

The next day, I woke up to the sound of chirping. Leo was still asleep. He had been so awkwardly close. He was just trying to keep me safe, right? Or using me for warmth? I'd not had a nightmare, had I? I couldn't recall much.

Anyway, I went to relight the firewood but saw that it was all burnt out. I walked off in search for new firewood.

I found several branches, when I heard a rustle in the bushes and a branch crack. I dropped the little pile of firewood I'd collected. It clattered on the ground. Not caring to reveal myself as a hybrid, I began to morph.

"Leo?" I asked in a wobbly voice that gave my emotions away. There was no reply.

I called out again. No response either. Just more rustling. I saw the back of something and eyed it carefully.

Suddenly, a large figure jumped out, like a wild animal.

"You! No, you cannot be alive! I've already killed you in my dreams. Oh, no matter. I'll kill you now, before you can kill me again!" it cried in rage.

The man's eyes were green, but there was a deranged look in his eyes. He was insane and it seemed, furious as well. This man had a strange aura coming from him and it was choking me. He was as toxic as venom. It had seemed that this was the enemy shape-shifter leader that the werewolves had talked about. It had seemed he had already met me before in his dreams and I'd owed him a battle.
