Teddy

I was happily enjoying my sleep when I heard the door room open and slam shut, and someone flop down on the opposite bed. Charlie must be back from his shift.

"How was work?" I asked

"Shhh, sleeping." He groaned. That was code for, 'horrible got no sleep and I have work later this afternoon.'

"Maybe you should take a day off from work." I suggested

"Can't, Victoria has the flu."

"What about Katie?"

"She's not certified."

"You're going to get sick too if you keep working like this." I commented

"Shut up." He groaned

A little while later I was heading to my class. I swear if Charlie continues on like this then he is going to catch the flu too.

My classes were exceedingly boring. Teachers can drone on about a topic that doesn't interest anyone for AGES!

I'm taking a public speaking class and we basically write papers and present them in front of the class. One student, Andrew, wrote a paper on the value of a penny. That opened up a full on debate as to why we should have the penny. My teacher went into a history lesson and now I am stuck learning useless facts once again.

I was just about to die of boredom when she finally dismissed us for lunch. I made it to the dining hall and found Charlie slumped over a bowl of soup, liking half awake.

"Rough day?" I asked

"Mmm."

"Hey guys what's up?" Jackson greeted

"I'm gonna go, I've got work in an hour." Charlie said, he got up from the table and started for our dorm. I noticed he was still in his Spiderman pajamas. Charlie never wears his pajamas out of the dorm.

"You stop it right there!" Jacob yelled.

He stopped at the door and slowly turned around. I walked over to him.

"What?" Charlie asked

"Let's talk outside." I grabbed his arm and dragged him away.

<*>

"What is wrong with you?" I asked

"I feel terrible, I think I have the flu." He groaned, "I have a headache, my throat hurts, and I feel sick."

"Then what are you doing up?"

"I had to eat something and I have work later."

"Um, NO! You're sick! You can't work come on let's go to bed."

"No, Teddy I have work to do."

"YOU'RE STILL IN YOUR PAJAMAS!" I yelled, "YOU'RE SICK!"

I grabbed his arm and dragged him back to the room. When we got back, he rushed to the bathroom. I dug around and found the half empty box of tissues. He came out a few minutes later and plopped down on the bed.

"Call them, tell them I'm sick." He groaned, "And remind me to never eat the Cream of Mushroom soup EVER again!"

"Alright. Are you going to be ok while I finish my classes?" I asked
