Just Friends

The next day, Kim came late to her coffee shop and saw everyone working already and her shop is packed...again.

"Good Morning ma'am!" Her employees greeted her.

"Morning!" She smiled and took out her laptop from her bag.

"Hi!" Xian smiled and popped behind her.

"Um.. Hi! You know you have work to do right?"

"Right.." Xian said and walked away from Kim.

Kim was on her laptop all day and tried to gave an attitude to Xian, and tried to treat him as just an employee. The barkada hang out at the coffee shop and tried to see Xian and Kim, but they don't see anything but Kim giving him an attitude.

"Ano nangyayari sa dalawa?" Enrique asked.

"Hindi ko alam! Kahapon parang okay naman." Maja answered.

Before closing hours, the barkada went home already and employees started going home too. Kim who was still in her laptop, thought everyone was gone already and she was glad that Xian wasn't there anymore. But...

"Kim..." Xian said and she looked back and saw Xian behind her.

"Xian? What are you still doing here? I thought everyone went home."

"I know. I just wanna ask if you wanna--"

Kim cut him off, "I can't. I'm sorry. I have a lot of work to do." Kim said and got up to put away all her stuff.

"You want me to drop you off?" He asked.

"No, I'm good. I have my car." Kim said. They both turned the lights off and went out the coffee shop to lock it. Kim went into her car and drove away from Xian. He was left there wondering why is she acting like that to him? Is she mad? Did he do something? All the questions ran to his head, and he decided to just go home and maybe she was just not feeling well today.

Kim got home that night, and decided to watch one of her DVDs. She got dressed to her comfortable house clothes and went to her living room to watch some movies. She scanned through her DVDs and she noticed that all her movies are about romance. She took one of her DVDs The Notebook and watched it by herself. Kim found herself crying during the half of the movie; she looked at the clock and it was almost midnight. She decided to turn off the movie and go to bed.

That night, she keeps dreaming about the person she really doesn't want to think about. She woke up at three in the morning, and could not sleep for the rest of the night.

"Ma'am. Ma'am." Kristen shook Kim. She was asleep on her laptop, and she didn't even notice that she was already asleep on her coffee shop.

"Kristen, I got this." Xian said and started shaking Kim again, "Kim...wake up." He said softly. After he tried, he looked at Kim. He smiled at himself and brushed a strand of hair from her face. She moved a little and opened her eyes, and saw Xian smiling at her. She screamed in shock and slapped Xian in the face, and everyone stared at them.

"Shhh!!" Xian said, "Sorry! She got surprised!" He said to the customers.

"Ano ginagawa mo?!" Kim asked.

"E nakatulog ka so, I was trying to wake you up." Xian said.

"You don't need to do that!" She said and sat back down to the chair she was sitting, and opened her laptop, "Magtrabaho ka nga!"

"Okay! Fine!" Xian surrendered and walked away from her.

Later that day.

Kim keeps yawning while working on her laptop. She decided to go to the kitchen and helped out for some stuff, but she keeps yawning and keeps falling asleep.
