Kelly's POV
"Thank-sh*t!" I almost dropped the plate I was holding when I bumped into someone, luckily I held the plate tightly so I didn't drop it.
"I'm sorry, Miss. I didn't notice- Kelly?!"
My heart beat faster when I recognized the man in front of me. I froze infront of him, I can't even utter a word in shocked. It's been a while since the last I saw him, and it seems like everything ahead flashes in my mind again...
"Lester..."
'He is my ex!'
It's been one year and months since the last time I saw him. And I just didn't expect I will saw him, right here, right now! I've already moved on, but it doesn't mean I already forget it, and it doesn't mean the pain wasn't here anymore.
"Is it really you, Kelly?" he said shocked, para bang hindi makapaniwalang nakita niya ako at ganoon rin ako sa kanya. I can't even utter words. "It's been a long time. How are you?" he spoke when I didn't answer him and just stared at him.
And when I finally convinced my self to speak and answer him someone just did it for me.
"She's fine." a cold baritone voice behind me answered Lester, and it is Sir Eljie. I can even feel his presence towering me.
"Mr. Livara." Lester just said with a smile on his lips, and that's when I turned to see my boss. He was only a span and a half away from me, and I can only see his chest if I won't look up at him. "Thank you for the invitation." Lester added.
"No worries, and thanks for coming, Mr. Evanier. I hope you enjoy coming here." he said, and here I am looking up at him while he's having conversation with my ex.
"Yeah, I really enjoyed tonight, especially when I unexpectedly saw Kelly here."
"Is that so?" he said in not rude manner, he has this little smile on his lips to not to look rude, well in fact he'd rude and short-tempered. "If you don't mind, we have to leave you here, 'cause my secretary needs to eat, right now." he said emphasizing the words 'my secretary.
And to my shocked, whithout waiting for Lester's answer, Sir Eljie grabbed my free wrist and pulled me away from Lester. Very rude isn't it?
He unknowingly pulled a chair for me and motioned me to sit, and as an obedient secretary I sat down without complaining. At ngayon ko lamang na-realize na nakakahiya ang naging reaksyon ko sa harap ni Lester, ni hindi man lang ako nakasagot nang maayos sa kanya, I looked like still affected by our past.
"Taking food, huh?" masungit na turan nito pagka-upo niya sa tabi ko. 'Ano na naman bang problema niya?'
Nagsimula na akong kumain, hindi ko na pinansin ang sinabi niya at bak kung ano pa ang maisagot ko sa kanya.
"Aren't you hungry, Sir?" tanong ko sa kanya ngunit hindi siya umimik at masama lang ang titig sa kung saan, nakakunot ang kanyang noo at matatalim ang tingin niya.
"How are you related to that Evanier?" a few minutes, he spoke, breaking the silence between us. And shoot, 'What I am going to say? Sasabihin ko ba na ex ko siya?' "Answer me." he said with his authoritative voice. 'This is not his business! And it is so akward to talk about my past! Hayst, bahala na nga...'
"He's m-." I'm about to answer when someone interrupted me.
"Excuse me, Mr. Livara, your father wants to talk to you, he's outside right now and he's waiting for you." a girl just appeared informing him.
