Tsubaki's POV

I had an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach when Fern left. I sat up in my bed, the covers messed up from me tossing and turning. I turned on my bedside lamp, and stood up.

Walking downstairs, I still had an uneasy feeling. Another presence, as if there was someone else in the house. A presence of one I had not experienced before. As soon as I got to the bottom of the staircase, I froze. There, in the kitchen, was the presence. It was laughing as it dissipated into mist. I could see Adam, paralyzed to the spot, a look of horror on his face as it swirled into the air. It drew closer to me.

"Well well well, what have we here?" It said, quizzically.

"I-I," I stuttered, caught off guard.

"Seems like you're not from around here, are you, demon?" It said, laughing. "I know you're afraid, I can see it in your eyes. And yet you call yourself a demon? Ha." It swirled around me.

"You're nothing compared to my magic. I can defeat you easily." I said, regaining my posture and courage.

"You're nothing compared to my magic. I can defeat you easily." It mocked. "Well, I'd like to see you try."

At that it took the form of a knight, it's sword glinting in the flickering lights. I motioned for Adam to run, as I focused on the spirit. He nodded and dashed to the back door, yanked it open to go warn the others.

I made a mental cage for the spirit so it wouldn't follow him.

"Ha! Can't finish me on your own? Need the help of your silly little friends?" It taunted as it swung its sword at me. I dodged and used my magic to make the sword disappear.

"Not in the slightest." I said using my dark magic to make the spirits darkest nightmares come true. All I could see was the horror on the spirits face as it shook in fear. Here's what the spirit sees, an it would go something like this:

Spirit's POV

The darkness loomed over the demon, making her seem taller. My sword disappeared along with my armor, leaving me in rags. I looked around. I was in a very dark forest, when I heard someone rushing towards me. It was my mom.

"Mom?" I said, shaking.

"You have to go! Get out of here before they get you too!" she screamed, before running past me. I watched as she fell to the ground, arrows sticking out of her body.

"Mom! No!" I screamed, and ran towards her. Her body shifted into the body of a cougar, who just woke up. It snarled at me, blood dripping from its frothing mouth. It leaped and I yelped as it pinned me to the ground. As it was about to strike, it shifted into a vulture, who flew up into the air, and came back down, pecking at me and clawing me as if I was a piece of food. It kept clamping it's beak down on me, as if trying to rip me up into little pieces to feed. By this time I was crying, before the scenery and everything else disappeared and I was on the floor of the mansion, the demon looming over me.

"Go." She whispered, and flicked hand.

Tsubaki's POV

As I flicked my wrist, the spirit vanished with a trail of mist. I smiled, even though I was exhausted. Just as I was about to fall down, everyone came downstairs. My vision clouded, and the last thing I heard was Anisa calling my name before I blacked out.
