❅ Dae isn't the most "upbeat" person. His powers have caused him to live in fear of hurting people, he's hesitant to get close and intimate with others, the lingering fear that his powers might harm them causes it. This can make him to come off as cold ( haha — 'cold' ) when Dae first meets people as a way for them to not get close. Those who do persist and chip away at the walls he has built find out that he is the softest and kindest person you'll meet. It doesn't take much effort to know that Dae is possibly the biggest scaredy cat you'll meet. He cracks under pressure and scares so easily it's sad.
☾ The lack of social interaction has made Dae very introverted and awkward to attention directed at him. He feels freaked about physical contact because of his fear of freezing them and he believes his cold body temp. just wouldn't feel great to the other person. If you really are so persistent to hug Dae — he's...willing.
❅ Dae loves caring for plants and the arts. He cares for plants because it makes him feel better about taking care of an object his very powers can kill. It's calming and it's usually what Dae spends his time doing instead of talking to people. Art has become the other outlet for Dae to calm his nerves and blow off steam. If anything, it's the best way to connect with him and get him talking — either that or planting.
☾ Dae isn't an insomniac per se, more so he enjoys the quiet and solitude of nighttime, so he stays awake at night, but he has no problem falling asleep. It's a time for him to reflect and question his life with and without his powers, would he ever be able to find peace with his powers, etc. etc. This is possibly the best time to try and communicate with Dae, he's much more responsive and easier to work with without his barriers up. It's when he's at his most vulnerable, such a thought should scare him, but he relishes in the short time he can let his shoulders sag and not worry so damn much

❅ Dae can very clearly recall the day he manifested his powers. He was 6, it was in the middle of December and he was outside playing in the snow with his father. His gloves had soaked through, so he was bare-handed as he balled up some snow in his hands. He threw the snowball at his dad, remarkably it had hit him in the face, but that's when the discovery came that the snowball had turned to ice.

❅ Dae can create objects out of ice ( projectiles, cups, shapes, etc. ), though the bigger they are, the more effort it requires. There's a chance of the object coming out disfigured if he's under stress or rushed.
☾ Objects Dae touches turn to ice, hence why he wears gloves and almost always shies away from physical contact.
❅ Dae's powers have caused body temperature is lower than the average. At times, this can extend to lowering the temperature of the air around him.
