It's Always Been You

"Ready?" I asked. He nodded, looking into my eyes. "One." i took a deep breath, not breaking the gaze.

"Two." he said, grabbing my other hand.

I smiled up at him... "THREE!!!!"

Not a second passed as both of my feet left the rock. For that split second, i didn't feel like i jumped. I felt like i slipped. I gripped James's hands, screaming. At first it was an oh my god i'm going to die scream, but then i started laughing and letting out an oh my god this is thrilling scream, parallel to when you're riding a rollercoaster. 

For a split second, while we were still falling, we made eye contact. He looked more terrified than i did, which made me let out a loud laugh. And things didn't become so funny when i wasn't paying attention to how close i was getting to the water. The water didn't feel like the calming sea water. It felt like i hit concrete when i made contact with the water.

***James POV***

After she counted to three, we both jumped. Not even a second later, i hear her screaming for her life and felt her grip my hands harder. She looked terrified, but after a second, she started laughing. LIke the adorable snort kind of laugh she makes when she see's something hilarious on TV.

For a split second, we made eye contact, and i started getting butterflies in my stomach. I looked down and i braced myself for impact. The water hit me like a ton of bricks, but i was able to make it back to surface. I smiled, thinking i'd see Allie above the water waiting for me.

"Haha hey allie!!" i looked around, but i didn't see her. "Allie?!" i yelled louder. "Oh shit!! ALLIE!!" out of instinct, i dove back under water to find her. My eyes stung from the salty water, but i didn't care. Then i spot her. 

I dove deeper to get to her. I grabbed her waist with my arm and rushed back to the surface. I swam to the shore as fast as i could've and i placed her on the white sand. I didn't know what CPR meant, nontheless know how to do it, so i just did what i've seen in movies.

I moved her long hair from her face and chest, and folded my hands, pressing it on her chest. Then i breathed into her mouth and repeated the procedure. 

Allie coughed out water and i couldn't help myself but pull her into a big hug. "Miss me much?" she smiled as i pulled out of he hug.

"I thought you were a gonner Al!!!" I yelled, half laughing and half trying to be serious.

" Well i'm not. And you saved me twice in the past two days... Babe, you're on a roll." she laughed, resting her elbows on the sand. 

Did she just call me babe?? I liked the sound of that coming out of her mouth. "Are you sure you're okay?" I asked her with worry in my eyes.

" I'm fine. I guess i just need to walk it off." she held her hand out. I took it and helped her up. He wobbled a bit when she got up to her feet, "i'm fine. I'm fine." she caught her balance.

"Just take a seat first, shall we?" we sat together on the sand. I leaned up against a coconut tree and she sat between my extended legs. I placed my arms over her and she held on to them, occasionally kissing them.

"Beautiful sunset, huh?" I whispered in her ear. 

"Gorgeous." she smiled up at me. 

After a couple minutes, i stood up and helped her up to her feet. I still leaned up against the tree, standing this time.
