"Ohmygod, my life just feels like a fanfiction" she'd say.
I'd nod and agree cause yea, life does seem like a fanfiction right now.
Except I'm not the main character.
No, I'm the support character with the big back story that no one knows.
I'm the best friend that makes the main character feel better when something goes wrong.
I'm the character that listens to the main character talk about everything good happening to them.
Because nothing good is going to happen to me, right?
Support characters don't get happy endings.
I was stuck in the background of my friends story for so long that I didn't realize when my story got to the good part.
