A week later, Saturday Evening
Muggle World, the Restaurant
Wendy was back in the kitchen with the apron around her waist. At the same time the Potions Professor was standing in his apartment getting ready to go out for a drink. He was in a bad mood. The students had been more annoying than usual and his patience had reach its limit.
Snape started searching through his wardrobe after some good muggle clothes. He found a shirt that he put on, a grey knitted sweater and then a black pair of pants. Severus did not like to experiment with new colors. A silver watch he had bought long ago in a store somewhere in Manchester he snapped around his wrist and then he was done.
At the same time Wendy was serving her first guests that evening. She kept an eye on the door, if Severus Snape showed up, she would be the one carrying out his plates in the dining room.
The young woman smiled at her customers. It was two women, a blonde and a brunette chatting about the latest gossip from town. You could spot gray hairs between the brown ones and the blonde woman had pulled out some reading glasses when she was scrolling through the menu. That's when the tough hit her that she did not know how old Severus Snape was. She guessed he was in his late 30s or early 40s. Wendy had not yet have time to study his looks from close up and judge his age.

Muggle World, the Restaurant
An hour passed before Snape showed up at the front door. The undercover spy was quick beside him.
“Good evening sir” she said in the most normal and polite way she could. She would not allow herself the give him any clues on what was going on. The black haired man gave her a stern look.
“Good evening” he said slowly letting his gaze follow her body. The new waitress, a beautiful woman he thought to himself.
“If you want to come and join me I will show you your table for tonight” Wendy said and took a step.
“Actually” Snape interrupted “I was just her for a drink” his voice was dark he avoided eye contact the waitress thought for herself while trying to catch the professors gaze.
“Oh okey, I will leave you for now then” she said and gave him a big smile.

The evening went on, when Wendy had time she threw a look over her shoulder at Snape. Observing and memorising every movement he made. The night was busy so she did not have a lot of time for spying, rather a bad night spying than blowing her cover.
When almost all of the guests had left she went to the bar. The red-blond woman picked up a wet glass and started wiping it.
“It's a beautiful night, isn't” she said and looked out through the window. Snape looked up from the bar counter at her and followed her gaze.
“Yes” he answered shortly. Wendy observed his profile. The big nose and small lips gave him an unusual look.
It was quite for a moment before Wendy opened her mouth again.
“Are you in town for something special?” she asked the man in front of her.
“No, not really” Snape said and picked up his glas. He gave it a twirl making the orange drink spin around inside the glass, then he put it to his mouth and empty the whole thing.
“So you lived here?” Wendy continued trying to lurke as much information as possible from him.
“Yes, just a couple of blocks away, north” he said. Wendy put that in mind, she put the glass inside the cabinet.
“Refill?” she asked and looked at professor.
“No thank you” the man said and shook his head. The servant grabbed his glass and carried it over to the dishwasher.
“How much do I owe you” Snape said while pulling his wallet out of his pocket.
“12 pound” Bryan said as he picked up some more glasses walking by Wendy and Snape. The wizard gave the muggle boy a short sturn look but then started laying down a couple of bills on the wood counter. He got up from the chair, Wendy fast counted the money in her head and realized that there was a pound to much.
“Sir” she began and looked at Snape who was heading out the door.
“You only owe me 12” she held out the thirteenth bill at him.
“No” he said “That one is for you” and then he left the building with a small smile. The undercover agent was surprised and blushed when she met his gaze. He nodded at her and then disappeared in the dark of the city. The strawberry blonde waitress had made his mood a lot better.
