Chapter 23

Wizarding World, Ministry of Magic

Gamila was sitting next to her boss both looking very confused and worried. The night before curtain events had take the whole investigation to a dangerous position. The witch had told her boss a short recap of what had happened.

The night before Bryan had a couple of drinks too much, extremely drunk he had kissed Gamila as Wendy at the same time as Snape was in the restaurant. Snape only seeing the kiss had gotten very angry and also jealous leaving the restaurant.

Gamila or Wendy had done her best to convince him that it was not like it seemed but Snape did not believe her. It all ended up with a big argument and she was also fired the same time. Things could not have gotten any worse.

Gamila was now very worried about what her boss was going to do.

He cleared his throat and said "As I see it there is only one option. We have to arrest him today"

"Today?" Gamila asked surprised.

"Yes, today. You can not go back in to that world without any job. You being fired put the whole mission at risk and now you better make it up to us" Her boss was starting to get angry, probably because he was stressed out.

"I-" began Gamila.

"In two hours you will have brought the group of people that will arrest him to his apartment. To make it more easier I would suggest that you make it up to him before you arrest him. Give him some puppy eyes and kisses. It usually works." Now her boss was pissed.

"Yes sir" she said shortly but also a bit sad.

"I'm sorry Gamila but this is how it has to be" He seemed to have calmed down just over a second.

"It's just that..." the spy said.

"What is it?"

Gamila sighed and looked at her boss.

"Don't tell me now that you have grown a care for the man Gamila" said her boss and looked at her.

Gamila didn't say anything, she just left the room quite.

Muggle World, Snape's Apartment

Half an hour later Wendy was standing outside of Snape's door. She knocked on it and prayed that he would let her in. The door was unlocked and Severus Snape opened it. He looked tired only wearing a pair of black sweatpants.

"Wendy" he said.

"I'm so sorry!" she began and started rattle off excuses. "Please please forgive me you didn't see how it went I di-" Snape brought his fingers up to her lips.

"Calm down, lets go inside" Wendy sighed in relivie thinking she may had a chance to make it up to him not giving any thoughts to the group of wizards standing a couple of blocks away waiting.

Muggle World, Snape's Apartment

Wendy had explained everything to Snape. He had been quiet the whole time but when she finished he also started talking.

"I want to apologize to Wendy.." he began. "It just hard to see you with another man like that I-" he sighed. "When I was very young I had a crush on a girl that fell in love with the boy builling me. It broke my heart, it still does and I know it sound selfish but I just don't want to go through it again"

He paused and took a sip of the tea in the cup he was holding.

"I'm sorry Severus" Wendy pretended that she had never heard of it before but she knew very well that it was Lily Potter he was speaking about.

"You know Wendy I really really like you" Snape said.

Wendy blushed "I like you to Severus" she said and for some reason she felt that it wasn't a lie.

Snape leaned over the table and kissed her. "Still jealous?" she asked and gave him a mischievous smile.

Snape gave her one angry look before kissing her again.

Muggle World, Snape's Apartment

Afterwards Wendy rested her head on his chest. I like this, I like him, she thought. There must be another way, he hasn't done anything yet.

The spy shook her head, focus. This man is trying to free prisoners. But Wendy couldn't help admitting to herself that she would like things to remain this way.

She took a quick look at the clock realizing that the force would be here any second. She tensed her body. "Something wrong?" Snape asked and looked down at her.

"No" Wendy said short and meet his black gaze.

There was a knock on the door and only seconds after the force had kicked in the door.
