Muggle World, Wendy's Apartment

Couple of days later.

Wendy finished her braid and looked at herself in the mirror. She had finally gotten used to looking at the green eyes and strawberry blonde hair when seeing herself.

She wore a black shirt and also a black skirt, she was going to work this evening. The waitress job had been alright she thought. It was a lot of talking with strangers which she didn't like. But otherwise it was fine.

The witch missed the action at the Ministry of Magic. In the muggle world she was only serving tables and spying on her suspect. No hunts in narrow alleys, no intense interrogations and no magic.

Wendy sighed and put on her black jacket, time for work.

Muggle World, the Restaurant

The shift had been hard. Screaming kids, unhappy guests and it was hot as hell. The strawberry blonde woman sighed at sat down by the wall outside of the restaurant. Moments like this most muggles would have lightened a cigarette but since Wendy didn't have one she closed her eyes and rested her head against the brick wall.

"I thought I would find you here!" a male voice said.

Wendy opened her eyes and looked at the tall man infront of her.

"Severus!" she said surprised and stood up.

"Wow Wendy, are you alright?" he asked. "You look exhausted"

"Nono I'm fine. Just a rough night" What did he do here? It was only Wednesday and the lessons could not end that early at Hogwarts for him to travel all this way. He really must be planning something.

"Are you done for the night?"

"Yes let me just grab my stuff" The waitress took of her apron and shoved it down her orange backpack. She let her hair down from the braid and shook her head and then pulled her right hand through it.

"You have beautiful hair" said Severus Snape.

Wendy smiled at her suspect and blushed. "Thank you"

Muggle World, Open Street

Snape was acting like a true gentleman carrying Wendy's backpack in one hand and holding her hand with another.

"Something special or you just happened to see me?" said the witch.

"Yes I wanted to thank you for the dinner this weekend. It was very... Nice" he said and underlined the word nice.

Wendy blushed, not because they had slept with each other but because she still felt a bit of shame. I have used him, she thought.

Muggle World, Random Cafe

They sat down at a table by a cafe that for some reason was still opened. Snape ordered a big piece of cake for them both and a water for Wendy.

When the water arrived at the table the spy drank it all up in one go.

"I didn't have any pause to drink this night" Wendy said and gave Snape an apologetic smile.

"No, you should drink more. You seemed exhausted when I saw you"

Wendy didn't say anything just gave him a quick smile and emptied the glass the waiter just filled again.

Severus Snape looked out at the street. He followed a red car with his gaze until it disappeared from his sight.

The spy studied the outlines of his face, he's quit a handsome man. I'm sure he could have gotten a lady but maybe the scars after Lily Potter was to deep.

"What is wrong?" Wendy asked him and took a big bite of the cake that had just arrived. Chocolate cake with banana filling, it was delicious.

Snape sighed. "You remember the friends I told you about. The ones in trouble?" he looked at the woman in front of him. She is beautiful, he thought.

"Yes" the spy didn't want to say to much because she was afraid that he would start listening to her instead.

"I've been thinking about helping them" Snape paused and seemed very confused. "But at the same time I know it's wrong it's just that I am..." He stopped talking.

Wendy looked up at him from the cake. "What?" she asked calmly.

"No it's nothing I shouldn't trouble you with my problems. Do you enjoy horror books?" he asked and smiled soft.

Wendy was very irritated over the fact that he had change subject but smiled at him and said "Yes"

The rest of the evening the talked about Dracula, Snape never mentioned his friends again.
