Started As Friends ( Izan × Soneya )

Chapter 8 : He's a Deadman

  Soneya's POV

     I held Mikela close to me afraid to let go, but I finally stared to part away from him. I stared into his golden eyes, just like dad's.

     " Do you think you can stand up? " Izan asked him.

     Mikela nodded his head and trembled trying to get up, he was on two legs but collapsed.

     " How are we going to do this? " Soneya asked looking into my eyes.

     " I have an idea. "

  Izan's POV

     I stood side by side with Soneya and laid Mikela behind us, we then picked Mikela up on our shoulders. As We began to walk I noticed how large he is, him laying across Soneya's and my back he was bigger than both of us. When we got to the doors I could here people talking and some sounding really worried, when the doors opened from the outside everyone went silent with a gasp. I saw the archers draw their arrows back when they saw the huge wolf with wings on Soneya's and my back,

     " Hey! Stand Down! Put Your Weapons Down! " I demanded.

     They still stood strong and had the arrows ready, as the swords men guarded the villagers and had their swords ready to strike.

     " I Told You To Stand Down! " I demanded

    They finally put their weapons away but stared at Mikela in fear, but the silence was broken by one of the trainers.

     " What is that thing Izan? " He stupidly asked.

     I got angered by his choice of words, " This THING Is Your Captain!! " I shouted

     I heard many of the towns people whisper Mikela's name, and others say it couldn't be.

     " He was turned into this from Zane. " Soneya stated.

     I think she finger the same thing I did, only Zane would be capable of doing this. Probably for revenge on me from taking Soneya away from him, I knew exactly why this happened.

     " Please... we need to get him to the doctor. " Soneya pleaded.

     One of the guards went to get a wagon and other stepped up to help us carefully put him down, when the one gaurd came back with the wagon they helped us lay him down. Soneya hopped in the back with him while four guards began to take him to the doctor, I watched as the people followed to see what's going to happen. I was about to go with them when I heard a crack of a dry stick in the woods, I turned my attitude to the woods to see what it was when a figure ran away from behind a tree. I darted after the person, maybe they knew what happen? They ran pretty fast but I noticed they had what looked like to be chains around their neck and hands, I got an arrow out and stopped to aim, I shot the arrow through one of the chain holes and pinned it against a tree stopping them from running any more. I ran up to them and turned them around to see a women with tears in her eyes, I held my arm to her throat pinning her against the tree.

     " Who are you?! And why where you watching us?! " I demanded.

     " I Didn't Want To Do It! " She cried.

    " You know what happen to Mikela?! " I began press my arm against her neck harder.

    " I was the one who...placed the spell- on him. " She gasped for air.

     " Why!? " I shouted at her.

     " If I didn't Zane would've killed my family, I- Didn't want to... I swear! " She chocked out.

     I pulled my arm away from her neck, as she gasped for air and coughed. I backed away from her to let her breath, once she caught her breath I looked at her in the eyes.

     " Why did he do it? " I asked.

     " He wanted to take someone to O'Kassis with him, but Mikela said no. That's all I know about it, I swear! " She answered.

     I took the arrow out of the tree and took her hand, I grabbed my throwing knife and unlocked the chains on her wrist. She looked up at me with watery eyes, I smiled at her then began to walk off.

     " Wait! " She cried.

     I stopped and turned around to her, she got up and grabbed my hands and placed them in her's, " If there's anything I could do to repay you, please don't hesitate to tell me. "

     " I will keep that in mind, thank you. "

     " If you want to find me I live in a cave behind the waterfall not too far from here, will you be alright? " She asked concerted.

     " I'll be fine, just have another reason why Zane is a deadman. " I walked off back the the village.
