When we were a little older I found out that the war threats were getting worse, and more people had to go off and train to be soldiers. I remember Soneya once told me that she wanted to be a soldier when she grows up, that's one thing I loved about her... she wasn't like the other girls her age, she wanted to explore and fight for what's good.

" Hey Izan! " I heard that beautiful voice call my name from outside, I looked outside my window but she wasn't there?

I looked around until I jumped back from her hanging upside down from the top of my roof, I jumped back so far that I tipped my chair over and fell backwards. She just started to laugh at me, but I didn't mind... I'd do anything to get her to laugh that cute laugh.

" Soneya.... you almost gave me a flippin' heart attack! " I yelled when I sat up right. " How did you even get on my roof? "

" I know my ways... " She giggled.

" Before you couldn't even climb up a tree, and now you're able to find a way on roofs...? " I pointed out when getting up and setting my chair up right.

She just laughed. " Come on... "

I saw her lift her head and heard foot steps on the roof, and soon I heard the foot steps sound as she from jumped off. I immediately ran out my open window and climbed on top of the roof looking for her when I realized... she's on the neighbour's roof now.

" What- How... What- What.... "

" I wouldn't suggest you jumping to the next roof if you don't know what you're doing.... "

" If you can do it then so can I! " I announced with determination.

I walked to the edge of the roof and got ready, right when I was about to jump-

" Soneya. You are needed in the commons area! " A guard yelled to get her attention.

Which caught me off guard and I slipped off the roof, but grabbed on the edge before I fell. I hung there and glared at the guard,

" Thanks For The Headed Up!! " I yelled.

I jumped down as did Soneya, after we dusted each other off we followed the guard. When we got to the commons area, Mikela was waiting for us, Soneya jumped to his arms as he swong her around.

" Mikela why are here? Aren't you suppose to be in training? " She asked with her sweet tone.

" Well... I took the day off to spend time with my little sister! " He ruffled her beautiful brown hair. " Oh hey Izan, taken' care of sis are ya? " He smirked.

" Well someone has to... " I blushed from embarrassment, I probably look like an idiot right now...

He grabbed Soneya's hand and signaled for me to come with him, we walked to on top of a hill. Soneya and I called this hill our special place, it had an apple tree in blossom and the sun was setting. He stopped and let go of Soneya and turned to look at both us, he had a smile plastred in his face while he pulled something from his belt.

" Oh My Irene!! Mikela You Have A- "

" Sword! " He finished her sentence when pulling out his sword.

In our village if you get your own sword that means that you're the General! That means...

" Mikela You're The Genral Of The Gaurds!? " Soneya and I yelled in sync.

Mikela blushed a little bit but I don't think it's from embarrassment, I think he's just glad that he could be something his little sister is proud of.  She gave him a big hug but.... the warm feeling washed away when she soon realized,

" but... Mikela.... this means- " Her voice cracked on the last bit of every word.

He didn't respond with words but he put his hand on her shoulder, and looked at her with heartbreak.

" I won't be able to see you as much as I'd like to anymore... I'm sorry..."

She just looked away from him and stared at the ground, I wanted to confort her... but was this situation really my place to step in. Mikela looked at the top of the tree and saw the first apple in season, he tossed his sword in the air so perfectly cut just the stem of the apple off the tree. Catching both the sword in one hand and the apple in the other, he went to Soneya and placed his hand on her shoulder and placed the apple in her hands. He opened his arm wide inviting her for a hug as she didn't have a second thought, this hug was special... for she didn't want to let go. Once they finally separated he gave her a smile and soon left to the village.  She walked over to the tree and sat up against. As I walked over and sat next to her, as soon as Mikela was out of sight... she cried. It seemed to me that to Mikela she wanted to be strong and when he's gone... she's weak, I wrapped my arm around her as she stared at her reflection in the apple.

As the tears fell from her eyes I my heart sank, I placed my lips against her warm cheek which were wet from the salt water tears.

     " It's okay Soneya.... we'll survive this.... we'll be fine... "
