That was exaxtly what I wanted to avoided with her. I've caused enough pain to her, and I didn't want to do anymore.
She asked for it.
No the hell she didn't!
Why does it matter? She's nobody important.
I gritted my teeth. These damn voices. Why wouldn't they just stop?!
The sky was grey and the sun hindered by the clouds.
My mind drifted to Marnie.
Was she important? The only thing that I know about her besides her name is that she's a runaway. No backstory, no interests, no importance. And if someone doesn't have importance 'then you shouldn't care about them' finished the voice of my father in my head.
The Pier HotSpot, the bar that every teenager went to, flashing signs and bright lights caught my attention. I wasn't one to drink, but it'd be a nice relief. A getaway from everything.
Without a second thought, I pushed open the door and went inside, ready to drink the night away.
