Something didn't feel right. Like something bad was going to happen, or did happen. As much as I tried, I couldn't shake the feeling that somewhere, someone was getting hurt.
And that someone happened to be Marnie.
Gwen told me to calm down, that Marnie was alright and to not worry but how could I?
I was on my wits end with worry, and all of it was directed towards Marnie and I knew no matter how much I tried to deny it, but I cared about Marnie. More then I'm probably supposed to and I have no fucking clue why, but I just do.
Running a hand through my hair, I turned to see Gwen grinning slyly as she locked the door, looking at me as she did.
I raised an eyebrow, confused. "What are you doing?"
"I want to spend some more time with you Rowen." She crossed over to me, placing her hands on my shoulders and slightly squeezing them. "But first, forget about Marnie. She'd a nobody. You said so yourself."
Knocking her hands away, I stood up, heart racing profoundly. "Aren't you the one who scolded me on not being nicer to her? Why ar-" She cut me off as she pushed me back on the bed, slinging her legs around my waist, straddling me.
"Shh. Rid your mind of her. Of everything. Lets have some fun." She flipped her hair to the side as she leant down, her lips hovering inches from mine.
Just as they grazed softly across mine, I pushed her off. She rolled to the side, reaching a hand to grab my arm.
"Rowe-"
"Stop! I don't know what you did with the real Gwen, but this is sure as hell not her. I'm going to get Marnie, with or without you." I spat, the feeling of worry starting to increases more.
She narrowed her eyes as she reached behind her back, revealing a very sharp butcher knife. I stepped back, eyeing her as she got up.
"I figured you'd get in the way Rowen." She purred, slowly walking towards me as the knife shined from the glare of the light. "A shame really. He told me to only hurt you if neccesary. Your a good guy - well somewhat - but you need to be elimanated."
I was confused. Her and Sawywr were working together? The realization that they planned this from the start, to capture Marnie, hit me like a bullet.
I knew it. I knew something was up with them two, espacially that asshole Sawyer. They had Marnie, oh god Marnie. She was going to die if I didn't do something, to try and save her. I had to.
"Gwen." I warned as her steps got closer.
She chuckled, twirling the knife easily into the air and catching it. She eyed me, teasing me as she came close and pressed the blade of the knife against my skin, the coolness making me flinch. Trailing it down my shoulder, she leant up towards my ear, licking it before whispering into it.
"Oh Rowen. I'm might not kill you, but that bitch Marnie already has her death written out."
