Liv's P.O.V:

"Where do you think she is? Do you think she's safe, oh God she could be dead for all I know!! What if-" I was cut off by a hand over my mouth and turned to see Hunter looking at me, his blue eyes kind.

"I'm sure she's okay Liv. She just needed some space" he reasoned and I sighed, leaning back against a tree and sliding down until I was sitting in the damp grass. Hunter and I had checked every place I could think of that I thought Ella would run to and the forest was the last place I thought of, with no luck and now we were alone in a forest at night. He took his hand off of my mouth slowly, crouching down in front of me.

"I know, I just worry so much about her. I know she can survive in her own, but is it bad that I kind of wished she needed me? I feel like I could lose her at any moment and I don't want to lose her. She's my best friend.. I numb her" I say, looking into Hunter's eyes sadly and he smiled at me.

"It's completely normal to have the urge to be needed Liv. I completely understand what you mean" he said, not breaking eye contact with me.

"Thanks Hunter" I said, smiling at me and he smiled back, not moving. I didn't move either, both of us staring at each other for a good few minutes. He suddenly leaned in, pressing his lips to mine and I felt sparks erupt throughout my body.

I cupped his face in my hands, deepening the kiss as I felt him smile against my lips. He nipped my bottom lip asking for an entrance. I was about to open my mouth slightly when there was a scream and a howl.

We automatically broke apart, looking at each other with wide eyes before transforming at the same time. We ran towards the sound of the commotion, soon seeing a little girl backed up against a tree as a rogue snarled at her, getting ready to pounce.

As soon as it jumped, a ran and jumped as well, knocking it out of it's path to the little girl.

'WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!? GET BACK HERE NOW' I heard Hunter's voice boom but didn't back down, the rogue snarling at me as we walked in slow circles.

'get the girl to safety then you can come back and help me if I'm not finished by then' I thought calmly.

'I'm not going to do tha-' he started to protest.

'NOW. Hunter' I thought and heard him sigh and the girl scream once again. I could tell Hunter was gone when I couldn't smell him anymore and as soon as he was out of my smell the rogue mind-linked me.

'It was a bad idea letting the guy leave cutie pie. I saw you before you transformed and oh boy am I gonna have a fun time with you' he said and I could just feel his perverted smirk.

'You're a disgusting pervert' I said and that seemed to anger him as he pounced at me. He tackled me and towered over me as I was on my back and he was about to bite my throat but I quickly used all the force I could muster and pushed him off of me. I growled, turning the tables as I was now over him, scratching his face. There was a huge gash down the left side of his face and he whimpered in pain, giving up as he saw the chunk of fur on the floor next to him.

I moved off of him, sitting down and watching him get up and look at me with a confused expression.

'You should get out of here before he comes back. He won't hesitate to kill you' I said and the rogue quickly disappeared into the trees. I stood up, wincing and falling at a pain that shot up my front leg. I looked down at it, seeing a deep cut in in. I groaned, freezing as I heard footsteps approaching.
