Liv's P.O.V:
"We are gathered here today to honor the memory of Ella Kingston, a beloved sister, daughter, and friend...." Ella's sister started speaking, a few tears rolling down her face.
Hunter squeezed my hand slightly, seeing a tear slip down my cheek as I tried to stay quiet. He was to my left, and I leant my head on his shoulder silently, feeling him leave a quick kiss on the top of my head. Katie was to my right, having a lot more trouble keeping in her tears as she leant into Jacob's touch. On the other side of Hunter, Dalton and Jaxson were silently watching and listening with saddened eyes. It meant a lot to me that they still came even though they had never even met Ella.
I don't understand why she had to be the one to go. She had the biggest heart and was such an old soul, she didn't deserve to die. Especially the way she did.
Thinking about her brought back all the memories from when we were kids leading up to her death. I spaced out as the scene played out in my head again.

"I will never forgive you for the héll you've put me through! Ella the Golden Heart huh? Well let's see when her golden heart turns to ice" Ella's face went pale, and it was easy to tell that Nik had used her magic to freeze Ella's heart.
There was a few screams, and it took me a second to realize that one of them was my own. Tears began streaming down my face once again and I tried to run towards Nik to kill her but Hunter held me back, pulling me into a tight hug as I sobbed into his chest.
He soothed me, but I also felt his tears slip off of his face as he held me in his arms. After what felt like an eternity, but was actually only a minute or so, I pulled away from him and looked towards where Katie was standing, but she wasn't there.
I turned to where Nik was, seeing her gone as well. I almost starting panicking but then I caught a glimpse of Ella, seeing her limp body on the grass with her head rested on Katie's lap as Katie cried silently.
"She wasn't supposed to go. She can't leave me. You can't leave me Ella!! Please, please come back" she sobbed out and I slowly walked towards her, putting an arm around her shoulder as we looked down at our best friend.
Katie and I never got along, but Ella taught us to stick together and compromise. She kept us from killing each other after all these years. None of us expected her to be gone, especially at this young.

"Princess?" I felt Hunter shake me slightly and that broke me from my thoughts, causing me to look up and see him looking down at me with his tear stained face.
"It's time to go home now" he said and I nodded, wiping away a stray tear that slid down my cheek and standing up.
Hunter, Katie, Jaxson, Jacob, Dalton and I all began walking out of the funeral home, our paces slower than usual due to the sadness weighing down on our shoulders.
As we were walking to the parking lot where we would part ways, I spotted a figure of a man that was wearing all black, sat on the curb. When I got close enough to see the recognizable hair I automatically walked in his direction, telling my friends that I'd be right back.
"Hey" I said quietly when I reached him, cringing slightly as my voice cracked.
He glanced up at me, making my heart break at the sight of his face. There were tears streaming down his cheeks, his blue eyes were darkened in sadness, and his eyes were puffy and red from all the crying. When he saw me another sob broke free and a few tears slipped down my cheeks.
