Chapter 15- McDonald's

Liv's P.O.V:

"Well that was easy" I said, hopping into Hunter's car, Ella, Katie, and Nik following but getting into the back seats instead.

"I'm sure our battles will get harder soon. That was basically just a warm-up. Something to make us get noticed by the public" Nik said and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"I get what you're saying, but we're not doing this to become famous. We're doing this to help people, right?" I said and she sighed, clearly annoyed.

"Whatever you say" she huffed out and I held back from saying something I would regret later. Hunter placed a warm hand on my thigh and I automatically relaxed, closing my eyes and leaning my head back on the head rest, placing my hand over his softly.

"I'm just glad you got in and out of there before any of you got hurt" he said and I smiled slightly at his worrisome tendencies.

"Can we stop for food? I get hungry after saving citizens" Katie complained and I laughed.

"Sure, but you'll have to change before we go inside" Hunter pointed out and I nodded in agreement.

"If you just take a right here there will be some public bathrooms we can change in" I said and he took the right, pulling up to the deserted public bathrooms.

I never really understood why they put these here. I had never seen another soul here before but it was a big help when I had to walk home and could stop here to pee.

Ella picked up the bag with our changes of outfits and we all got out, me being the last out as I pressed a light kiss to Hunter's cheek.

"We'll just be a few minutes" I said and he smiled, nodding at me.

"We're back!" Katie said excitedly as we all filed back into the car.

"A few minutes!? You liar I've been sitting here for almost an hour!!" Hunter glared at me and I put on an apologetic smile.

"Sorryyyyy it was harder to get out of the suits than I remembered" I said and he rolled his eyes at me.

"I won't forgive you until you give me an apologetic kiss" he said, pointing to his lips as he puckered them. I chuckled, rolling my eyes before leaning forward and pecking his lips.

"Aweeeee so cuteeeeeeeeeeee!!!" Katie squealed and I giggled, going back into my seat and trying to hide my light blush. Ella stayed silent, as she was never one to squeal over a relationship, at least not externally. She usually keeps her squeals to herself.

"Thaaaank you! You are forgiven" he said and I shook my head, holding a laugh but not being able to hold back the smile that appeared on my lips.

"Okay! Food time!!!!" Ella said excitedly and I laughed at her foodie tendencies.

"TOOO MCDONALD'S!!!" I said overdramatically, pointing ahead and Hunter started the car, beginning to drive.

A few minutes later we pulled into the McDonald's parking lot and all got out of the car once again.

"Welcome to McDonald's!" The cheerful cashier lady said as we walked in.

"Hi, may I please have a double quarter pounder with only cheese, ketchup, and onions with fries and a fountain drink? Oh and an extra thing of nuggets" I said and she nodded, handing me an empty cup.

"I like a girl that can eat" Hunter whispered in my ear and I rolled my eyes, trying to ignore the shiver that travelled down my spine as his warm breath in my ear.
