I sigh dramatically as I lay down in my bed. I checked the time, it's already 11:30. I spent the whole day with Tracy, Riley, and John. They all live in different states so it's been pretty hard to visit. They go back home soon which means I'll be on my own. I guess I could try to fix things with Josh.

Things seemed pretty good between us today but I'm sure we were both probably thinking of the incident...

(I was reading over this chapter and began laughing at that part. I didn't know what else to use other than the incident...)

I sigh and grab my phone. I can't live anymore without this bothering me. I begin to text Josh.

You: Are you awake??

Josh: Yeah, what's up?

You: I don't know...

You: I just feel really bad about asking you out because I didn't know you had a girlfriend and it's been killing me all day.

You: BUT IM NOT JEALOUS OR ANYTHING I JUST THOUGHT THAT IT RUINED OUR FRIENDSHIP AND I GOT SCARED

Josh: I don't think anything could really ruin our friendship.

Josh: If something ever happened between us I'm pretty sure one of us would apologize

You: So everything is good?

Josh: Of course! :)

You: Okay let's just forget any of... that... ever happened.

Josh: haha sure

Finally, I can sleep in peace.

--Time Skip--

I woke up from a ding from my phone. I stretch my arms and grab my phone.

Josh: Good morning! Do you want to get breakfast with me somewhere?

You: YoU dArE wAkE mE fRoM mY sLuMbEr?!!?!?!!1!!

Josh: Ooooops

Josh: Do you still want breakfast?

You: Are you going to give me a ride there?

Josh: Yes.

You: And are you paying?

Josh: Yep.

You: I'm going.

Josh: wOoOoOoO! What time will you be ready?

You: Uuuuuuuhhhhh I don't know so just leave whenever you want. If I'm in the shower or something once you get here just let yourself in.

Josh: Mkaaaay

I got out of bed and groaned. I walked into my bathroom and saw how nasty I looked this morning. I hopped in the shower and got out quickly. A clean (Y/n) is a good (Y/n). I quickly brushed my teeth and got dressed. I slowly walked out of my bathroom and crept to my living room to see if Josh was there.

He wasn't there. I looked around some more. He wasn't here yet. I made my way back to my room and checked my phone.

Josh: I'm running a little late but I'll be there soon.

I put my phone in my pocket and went to watch TV. I sat on my couch and waited for a knock... or for Josh to just walk into my house.

Eventually, I heard a knock on the door. I stood up and ran to answer it. I saw Josh standing there and smiled.

He just stood there and frowned. "Debby and I got into an argument," He said. "That's why I was late."

"What? Why?" I asked.

"I- uh... About us..." Josh whispered.

"Oh," I was confused. Why would Debby get mad? What did I do?

"It's not that important," Josh shakes his head and smiles. "Let's go."

"Where are we going?" I smile at him.

"Denny's!" He cheers.

"WOWOWOWOOOOO!"

--Time Skip--

The two of us sat at a booth in Denny's. It smelled like breakfast. Wow, I wonder why... I looked at the menu and I had no idea what I wanted. I wasn't really the biggest fan of eating out so I was trying to find something small to eat.

--Another Time Skip--

We began to eat our food. Every couple of bites I would look up to see if anyone was staring at me. What if they're judging me? I don't know what I look like when I eat. "Is something wrong?" Josh asks.

"No," I reply calmly.

"You look like you're looking for someone," He tells me.

"Oh really?" I laugh nervously. "I didn't even realize..."

I turned my head and looked out the window. I ate like that for a while, trying to ignore the feeling of someone staring at me. I watched the cars go by and tried to distract myself. There goes the eighth red car, the nineteenth black car, and the eleventh white car...

I quickly look away from the window. I push my plate away from me and sit patiently, waiting for Josh to finish his food.

Later, we- well Josh- paid for the food and we left. I got into Josh's car. "Do you want to come to my house for a bit?" Josh asked me.

"Is Debby there?" I looked over at him.

"No," He tells me.

"Then sure," I nod my head.

He drives to his house and we go inside. He tells me to go sit in his living room, so I do. He didn't go with me, so I assumed he just had to go to the bathroom or fix something or whatever. I wanted a couple of minutes just sitting there, but he soon sat next to me on the couch. He took a deep breath.

"I want to break up with Debby."
