We were all seated in the dinning room sounds of silverware and loud eaters filled the room. Everyone except my father and I stared at Dallas. He just kept his attention on his plate, occasionally he would wipe his face and drink, all at the same time he would grip my thigh.

"You remind me of my Peter!" Aunt Maybelle shouted, making us all jump. My aunt Maybelle was my mother's aunt who she thought was too country and ghetto. But that was my all time favorite she spoke her mind and was wise. My grandmother hadn't liked me, because of my size. She believed I would become a fat blob and die lonely. I at one point in life believed her.

"Who's Peter?" Dallas asked. I loved hearing this story so did my father. But Mother, Megan, and Troy hated it so they groaned.

"Peter was my man! He was kind, gentle and rough! But he was a Navy man. He left and hadn't came back at his normal time. He wrote letters but then they stopped. I began to think the worst, next thing I know he's at my door, with a broken arm and on his knee." She said. That story made my father and I smile. I looked over to Dallas.

"That reminds me of the story my grandfather used to tell me about his Army buddy. That man was shot on his right arm. Making it hard to write. My grandfather offered to write for him but he always said 'No she loves me so much she'll know another man's script,  I rather put her out of her stress and return home on injury'  that story was one I'll never forget." Dallas said. Aunt Maybelle's eyes lit up.

"My goodness your grandfather was-"

"Sergeant Derek Morgan, yes he was." Dallas smiled. Aunt Maybelle got up and hugged the oxygen out of Dallas' lungs.

"Boy your Grandfather is the reason my Peter made it back home alive. I owe you apple pie. I Iiked you before knowing you made my peanut happy. I love you mow! I like him Ali Bear." she said. I smiled. This wasn't what I originally thought it would be. It was going along much easier. I heard Troy huff. I simply rolled my eyes. Aunt Maybelle went back to her chair and my dad finished first as always. He excused himself. The next one to finish his food was Dallas, He looked over at me then over my head at something he nodded which made me look behind myself. I saw nothing. Dallas excused himself and lightly pecked my cheek. I smiled. He then picked up his plate then my father's before going into the kitchen.

"So he cleans up after himself?" Megan huffed. I looked over and nodded.

"Yes, he cleans up and helps me around the house." I smiled. Troy looked over at me looking like he wanted sympathy. Which he would never get from me.

"Troy fixes things. Just the other day he fixed the dishwasher." My mother said. We heard laughter coming from the kitchen which made me worried. My father must've killed Dallas and was laughing at the fact he was dead. I got up and walked in to see a squatted Dallas and the dishwasher and my father with a toolbox. I smirked at the sight. Troy wasn't a very good handyman.

"Hey baby, sorry I was laughing so loud. My apologies to the rest of you too." Dallas smiled. I smiled back and turned to see my mother with a very red face. Megan was biting her lip. And Troy, Troy was looking at Megan like he was gonna kill her. Aunt Maybelle just hugged me.

DALLAS P.O.V

"So you're dating my daughter?" Alicia's father asked me as we pushed the dishwasher back into place.

"Sir, I'm not going to lie to you. I have strong feelings for your daughter, but we aren't a couple yet." I said. He nodded.

"I understand, but I know that she loves you, and you love her. I can see it every time you both look at each other. I know my princess she doesn't Just give her heart away. It took her years to fall in love with that boy. I never liked him for her but you, you're perfect." he said. I couldn't help but smile. You wouldn't know how much love I have for Alicia she's nothing like the other women I've been with.

"Sir, I appreciate your opinion, but I doubt that she'll want to jump into anything you know considering the fact she's having some trust issues." I said, her dad nodded.

"You're right, but she trusts you. Hell I trust you." he said, laughing I laughed. I know speaking to him is like the step closer to happiness, but I have to understand my happiness is still in the recovering stage right now, and I'd give anything to be her rebound.

"Hey, daddy, hello Dallas." Alicia's sister entered, I noticed how her top was revealing her chest. I shook my head at her, I know she isn't trying to seduce me. I may be a man but I know what I want and it's not her sex. I want a woman with a great head on her shoulders, not someone like, what's her name again...

"What do you want Megan?"

Megan, she's not a lady nor is she classy. Going after your sister's men is quite low.

"Nothing just passing through." she said, rubbing her hand passed my rear. That's where I damn near lost it. I didn't want her, never will I want her.

"Please don't touch me." I said, she looked at me in shock while her father looked ashamed and embarrassed.

"Excuse me?" she rose her eyebrow.

"You heard me, I'm dating your sister and we're very happy together and you trying to seduce me isn't working. You have a man that you're married to, live happily with him, while I live happily with Alicia." I said, she looked pissed, she stormed out of the kitchen and there I saw Alicia with a smile brightly painted on her beautiful face, I started to smile my damn self.

"I think it's time for us to go daddy." Alicia spoke, her sweet voice was laced in humor. he wanted to laugh badly. I grabbed her soft hand and she intertwined our fingers together. I smirked down at our hands feeling cocky.

"Bye, you two." her father laughed. As we said goodbyes, cold glares were coming from the married couple. Their glares were hard and cold making Alicia's giggles turn into laughter. If I hadn't got her out and in the car in time she would've passed out from trying to hold her laugh in too long.

"OH MY GOSH, SHE JUST WON'T STOP!" Alicia laughed. I could tell she was saddened by the tone of her voice, but she kept laughing her laughing was adorable yet annoying. I had to make her stop. I grabbed her face and attacked her ferociously , I heard as she moaned, it was the sweetest thing I've ever heard.

"Well damn..." she sighed as I pulled away, I chuckled, at her reaction.

"I love you, Alicia." I admitted, she looked at me and smiled.

"I l-love you too." she said looking surprised at her words.

"I love you Dallas." she said again, as if she was reassuring herself. I smiled. I've always hated my name but hearing her say it made me love it almost as much as I loved her.
