Chapter 79: Courtney

"alam mo, i don't think this would work.."

"huh? bakit naman ang saya kaya.."

"anong masaya dito? eh ang bigat bigat mo sa tingin mo ba makakaya kita?"sabi ko sa kanya while forcing myself to lean over by the handle of the swing sets trying to have him up for a few seconds as he demands to and obviously i've been struggling to get him up everytime

"oh come on! you're very no fun.. aren't you?"sabi niya sakin with a smirk also trying to help me to get him up. so, that he could enjoy the swing sets too but now.. this is my last straw kasi pagod at gutom narin ako at kanina pa kami naglalaro, nagtatakbuhan at nagkuwe-kuwentuhan dito kaya whn i manage to put him up the last time i stand up leaving him na nakangiti na parang batang tuwang tuwa kasi nakataas siya but after i stand up and move away bumagsak kaagad siya immediately making him fall on his bum with a slight thud since i caught him off guard, natawa naman ako sa pained at pouty expression niya na mas lalo niyang ikinasimangot after i calmed myself down i still saw him on the same position with the same expression on his face, i spare a glance at my black watch while panting from laughing so hard and it says..

2:22 pm..

"okay, time out na kid. stop being so pouty.. kakain na tayo at nagugutom na ako."i told him before gesturing for him to stand up, he just pout even more habang nakahalukipkip na ikinataas ko ng kilay before half-smiling habang ipinapamulsa ang aking dalawang kamay, trying my best to put up a fierce look on my face

"Storm. come on now, i ain't playing anymore.. gutom na ako.."tawag ko sa kanya sa pangalan niya trying to emit a commanding aura, at first nakita kong nag-flash sa mata niya ang gulat and i even caught him containing his bright smile, because eversince i met him again hindi ko siya tinatawag sa pangalan niya (yeah, you used to call him Impakto..) because i'm clueless and i don't know that i know him at that time, but he masked it with his so feminine scoff na ikinairap ko naman before heaving a deep sigh and shaking my head before going near him and helding my hand out for him to take

"come on. don't be a kid.. di bagay sayo.."sabi ko sa kanya while wriggling my finger as if teasing and tempting him to hold it so i can pull him up, nakalahad ang kamay ko for a good moment while impatiently tapping my foot with a 'i-don't-play-with-you' look when i was about to retrieve my hand back and leave him there is the also the exact moment he finally clutch it and pull it down with him caughting me off-guard and pulling me down with him purposely, i brace myself for the impact ng marinig ko siyang tumawa ng marahan

"i never knew that you wanted to cuddle with me.."sabi niya sa malalim niyang boses na nagpainit sa pisnge ko at dahan dahan kong inangat ang ulo ko at nakita ko siyang nakatingin sakin with a playful smirk on his face, i manage to force myself to scrunch my face up before hitting him on his chest which makes him groan slightly and that gives me an advantage to stand up because he removes his grip from my waist to rub his chest

"aray sakit nun babe ah.."sabi ni Storm na nagpainit nanaman ng pisnge ko because of his cringey endearment, i force myself to roll my eyes before dusting my pants off

"Summer.. Storm?"narinig naman namin bigla ang pamilyar na boses na biglang nagpabangon kay Storm at nagpalingon sakin ng dahan-dahan making me slowly realize whose the owner of the voice is

"Courtney?"rinig kong tanong ni Storm sa babae rather my cousin na nakatayo at may hawak na pulang watering can while wearing a pastel pink sundress, cream colored sandals with her hair curled at the ends but her pandora bracelet caught my eyes that brings back memories to me, i remember giving it to her saying that i would be her friend if she wanted to.., pero nahuli niya akong nakatingin sa bracelet niya kaya tinakpan niya ito gamit ang kamay niya

"hey! Courtney, how have you been?"sincere at mabait na tanong ni Storm kay Courtney na hindi naman sinagot ni Courtney dahil nagpabalik-balik lamang ang tingin niya sakin at kay Storm and its honestly getting awkward so i decided to break it down softly by calling her

"Courtney..-"but she cuts me off by saying something that caught the both of us off guard kasi tinanong niya ito ng walang kahit anong emosyon sa kanyang mukha

"kayo na 'no?"tanong niya ng walang emosyon sa mukha until a bitter smile slowly comes up to her face while flicking her stare over the ground

"naaalala niya na ang lahat 'no?"tanong niya muli with her glassy eyes that's staring down the ground, napa-frown naman ako ng marinig ang dissatisfaction sa boses niya and another tone that i couldn't quiet decipher

"ano.. after everything that i do for you doesn't matter anymore?"tanong ni Courtney with a shaky voice, napa-angat ang ulo ko sa sinabi niya wondering kung kanino niya ba idini-direkta ang tanong niya, i was about to speak up but he beats me to it

"do every little thing that i change for you doesn't matter anymore? oh.. wait it doesn't even matter to anyone at the first place.."sabi niya before speaking in a shaky and vulnerable voice on while i can feel that she is trying to hold on her tears and sobs in

"even though i even sacrifice my everything.. my everything, just for all of you. i even change the way i speak, the way i walk, the way i dress, the way i act.. heck! i even sacrifice my real self just for all of you.. and now.. now that i finally lose a grip of my real self and ready to face evryone with the New Courtney just to erase the Past Courtney's act.. dun naman mawawala ang mga taong kailangan ko.. and now. i don't even know who am i really.. anymore."sabi ni Courtney with a shaky and vulnerable voice accompanied by her little sniffles and her choke back sobs that makes me wanna go near her and pat her in the back to assure that we're still here kasi this is my first time to see her break down infront of the others, infront of us..

"Courtney-"pinutol naman ni Courtney ang pagsasalita ni Storm who is going to her by helding her hands up as if saying stop which makes Storm stops abruptly

tinaas na ni Courtney ang ulo niya with her tear-stained face and red nose. dahan-dahan niyang ibinababa ang kamay niya bago huminga ng malalim at pinunasan ang luha niya while staring the both of us sharply

"if i can't have you.. then, i would just take you."

and then after that..

she leaves..

ud again! guys! i am trying to finish this book as fast as possible kasi.. you know i am trying to end this book para maka-move on na tayo to book 2 and to open areas for the new ideas and stories. at kaya hindi ako matagal nakapag-ud back then kasi i am not feeling well back then and i have to rest and take a break as my parents request to kaya ayun.. skl. nanalo nga pala bangtan as expected sa bbma's!😍👌🏽 and ang savage ng bagong vid ng Cimorelli! hahahahah!😂 lt! ask me who's the most savage girl group o our generation.. i'll answer.😁 anyways..
