MATTHEW GULPED THICKLY, hands shaking as the tension rose.
"Easy, easy. Don't go too fast." Arianna whispered in his ear. "Steady does it."
He rasped out in return, "I can't concentrate if you keep talking to me."
A brief silence passed by before she smiled, biting her lip in anticipation.
"Okay... now pull out." She murmured her instruction, her grip on Matthew's arm tightening. "You're doing it, babe!"
"And... game!" Matthew shouted in triumph as he rose from the floor fists pumped in the air. His friends sighed as he jammed his finger into the red nose, the sound of success he received in return fanning his burning pride. "In your face!"
"God, Tommy!" Madaline, his long-time girlfriend, groaned from beside her boyfriend. "You just have to have sausage fingers!"
Tommy's eyes widened as he reciprocated her bitterness, "Oh, and I suppose I can learn a lesson from you Ms. Butterfingers? 'Oh, it just slipped. I don't know how that could've happened!'" He screeched in a high pitched feminine voice.
"It's not my fault that Operation is a jacked up game!"
"Easy guys," Matthew chuckled as he gathered up the board game. "It's just a game. We're just tryna pass time until the food arrives."
"Yeah, does anyone know when that'll be?" Rafael questioned from his side crow position. He effortlessly slipped out of the complicated move as he rolled his shoulders. "I'm starving. Jax?"
The entire turned to Jax who was tongue tied with his newest one-night stand that had magically morphed into a surprising two-night stand. Matthew knew his friend, however, so he thought nothing of the fling.
"Jax!" He chucked a nearby pillow at them causing the couple to spring apart. "When did the Chinese place say they'd be here?"
