Chapter 101: Vortex of Flames

"Bloom," Sampson was speaking through his mind to her. "You must wake up! Wake up Bloom."

[B]Huh? You were the voice I heard at Cloudtower earlier. Who are you?"

"You will know me better sooner than you think! Wake up, Bloom! Wake up Bloom."

She woke with a start to find herself immersed by fire.
"I've heard of this place," gasped Bloom. "It's the vortex of Flames! Huh?"

"You must fight Bloom." a voice called to her through the intense flames. "Fight! You're a fairy: the Fairy of the Dragon Flame and you don't give up! Fight!"

"Dragon Fire!" She exclaimed. "Dragon of Domino!"

"Ooh," She gasped. "I can't move!"

"Try again Bloom, you can do this. No obstacle has ever been deadly for you not even a more intense fire."

"You're right," said Bloom. "I can do this! I've got this! Dig deep!"

She managed to levitate herself over to the dragon.
"I command you attack with all the power of the Dragon Flame!"

[I]"Huh? It has a silver glow to it. Someone gave me a slight moonlight protection from the fire. They knew the test was coming."

She smiled.

Bloomix, bloomix,
Bloomix, Bloomix,
Bloomix.

There's a light,
Brand-new kind of power!
Burning bright,
But burning brighter when it's ours!
We can share the magic of the Dragon Flame!

We find the strength to guide us

"Bloom!" exclaimed Daphne. "You passed the test of the Vortex of Flames!"

"I got this Daphne!" said Bloom. "Flamestorm!"

Her intense magic woke up the boys.

"Bloom!" said Sky. "Boy am I happy to see you!"

"I'm happy to see you too, Sky." stated Bloom. "Now let's get rid of these monsters!"

Meanwhile in the hall, the other winx were fighting with the fire eaters.

"I don't know how much longer I can keep this up," said Stella.

"We have to keep going Stella." replied Aisha.

"That's right Winx," said Bloom. "And you've got one more to help you."
Soon all the fire eaters were gone.

"Bloom you never told me how you managed to get out of the Vortex," reminded Daphne when they took a step outside alone.

"I heard a voice kind of similar to yours, Daphne only a young man I think. He told me to fight with everything I had. But it's not the only time I have heard him. I heard him at Cloudtower when we tried to act that barrier."

"When before or after that?"

"Before he gave me a sick sense that I should not have listened to Aisha for some weird reason."

"Did he give you any imagery?"

"Do you have a pad?" inquired Bloom.
Daphne handed her a sketch book.
Bloom began to etch the outline of a silver shield similar to the one protecting the Gem of Self-Confidence in Season 5 and then she drew waves of moonlight that had glinted off her dragon form.

"That's the Silverwing protection spell, Bloom," said Daphne. "Long ago we had a sister planet called Obscura and it was said that any ambassador of Obscura was able to speak to/ warn or encourage those in need. I thought he was gone. His wife disappeared from our ceremonial of Domino's return to Life Party right before the Trix attacked with the Beast of the Depths."
"But he's talking to me?" inquired Bloom.
"That must mean they're both alive." said Daphne.
