The Yule Ball

~Tessa's POV~

In the next two days leading up to the Ball, there were only two things the school was talking about. The Yule Ball and the most surprising new power couple around school

Draco Malfoy and Tessa Potter.

Four years the whole school thought that Draco and I hated each other. But then we walked down the hall, holding hands. Everyone was shocked. But Draco and I? We felt free.

The morning the day before The Yule Ball, Draco and I had promised each other we wouldn't see each other until the Ball.

Which was kind of torturing me. I missed him.

The morning of The Yule Ball, I buried myself under my covers and hugged my pillow.

Hermione and Lavender both came in the dorm room.

"Tessa are you still camped out in here?" Lavender asked.

"No.." I mumbled

Hermione came over and uncovered me.

"Geez Tessa. We get that you like the boy but this is ridiculous. It has only been a day" Lavender said.

"Such a long day it has been" I sighed.

Hermione laughed "come on, it's time to get ready"

"But it's eight in the morning." I said, looking at the rising sun out of the window next to my bed.

"Which means we only have twelve hours to do hair and makeup for the three of us and Ginny" Hermione said

"But Ginny's a third year" I said, sitting up

"She's going with Neville. She figured she wouldn't get to go other wise" Hermione replied

"She would in her seventh year" I said, standing

(that's an interesting thing to think about. I get that voldy moldy was taking over the world in Ginny's sixth year but would they still have the Twiwizard tournament in her seventh? After the headmaster of Drumstrang was a Death Eater and all? Hm.. would she have invited Harry? I mean... He never graduated from Hogwarts.... Wonder what they do for graduation.... Hm)

"I guess she wanted to go the year that two of her best friends were in the tournament" Ginny said as she walked in.

I laughed "hey Ginny"

She waved at me, hugged Lavender, and smiled at Hermione.

"Alright, let's get to work" Hermione said

It was about 3 o clock in the afternoon. Hermione and Ginny were already ready for the ball, minus their dresses.
