~Tessa's POV~

I sighed as Harry and I sat in the Great Hall, months after the party. I hadn't spoken to Draco since

"Pudding's good today" Harry remarked with a smile

I laughed a little "yes it is"

Ron and Hermione sat across from us.

"Hey guys" I said with a smile

"Hello Tessa" Ron said

"Good to see you're doing better Ron" I said. After he'd been poisoned, he wasn't doing so well

"Oh I'm great" Ron said. He looked around the Hall then met the eyes of Lavender Brown.

She was livid

"Remind me how I broke up with Lavender?" Ron asked

"Well... While you were out of it, she came to visit you in the hospital... And you sort of spoke... But it wasn't a full conversation" Hermione explained awkwardly

"Oh... She still seems a bit on edge" Ron said.

We turned to look at Lavender. She bent her spoon with her bare hands.

"Yeah just a bit" Harry said

I nodded in agreement

Suddenly the doors to the Great Hall opened and some girls walked in.

"Harry! That's Katie Bell!" Hermione hissed as they walked past us.

Harry looked at her.

Weeks ago, Katie had been cursed. By a necklace. Harry was convinced that Draco had done it. I think McGonagall is getting sick of us...

Harry hopped up quickly and walked to her. They talked for a moment and then the doors opened again .

I looked over to see Draco. Katie and Harry looked at him too.

Draco's eyes widened at the sight of Katie. Then he quickly left the Hall.

Harry looked at Katie then hurried after him.

"Oh no.." I mumbled before rushing after him.

I caught up with him.

"What do you think you're doing?" I asked him.

"You know exactly what I'm doing" he said as Draco went into the men's bathroom

Harry went to follow him

"Wait! I can't go in there!" I said

"Then don't" Harry spat before going into the bathroom. I growled under my breath and sat down next to the door.

There was a crash and I gasped softly. I heard the sound of water and realized it had been a sink.

I continued to listen.

The two of them kept shooting spells at each other. I silently hoped they wouldn't hurt each other

It wasn't until I heard Harry shout that I rushed in.

"SECTEMSEMPRA!"

I quickly rushed in to see Draco on the floor, bleeding quickly.

I gasped

"Harry! What did you do??" I said

"I-I umm.." Harry said

"Hermione told you! She told you the book wasn't safe!" I yelled before going to Draco's side.

I quickly tried everything I could to stop the bleeding.

"No... No... Draco come on you're gonna be okay.." I said softly to him. His hand lightly grasped my wrist.

I heard the bathroom door open and looked up.

Professor Snape looked at the scene before him in slight shock.

"U-Um Professor.... I- we can explain" I said softly.

He said nothing and walked to me and Draco.

I moved back a little, Draco's hand still holding my wrist.

Snape mumbled a spell that I couldn't hear and all of Draco's blood slowly went back to his body, leaving larger red stains on his shirt.

I watched with wide eyes and looked at Snape. Draco's grip on me tightened as he picked him up.

I glared at Harry as I was half dragged with Snape and Draco.

I walked beside Snape in silence as we walked to hospital wing.

"You don't need to be here Miss. Potter" Snape spat.

"He um... He won't let go.." I said, gesturing to my wrist. As if on cue, his grip tightened.

Snape rolled his eyes and kept walking.

"What happened?" He asked after a moment

"Um... Well I was outside so I didn't get to see much of it... But Draco went into the bathroom and Harry followed and the next thing I knew they were throwing spells at each other" I said, leaving out the part about Sectemsempra

Snape nodded slightly.

We arrived at the hospital wing and Snape set Draco in a bed then went to talk to Madam Pomfrey.

I looked at Draco silently as he opened his eyes.

"We... Really need to stop ending up here.." he said softly, joking a little.

I laughed lightly.

"Are you alright Dray?" I asked him.

He nodded "I'll be okay.."

"I tried to stop him..." I said softly, "he's bent on proving that you're a... That you're with..." I sighed and pointed at his arm

"What your brother doesn't know won't hurt him" Draco said. His grey eyes looked into mine, "good to know you don't hate me.."

"I don't hate you Draco" I said softly, "I do regret breaking up with you... But you know we can't be together"

"I know.." he said, "I know"

"If You-Know-Who found out.... He'd kill you" I said softly

"There are worse things" he said, taking my hand.

I looked at his hand in mine and sighed, pulling mine away.

Snape came back.

"Madam Pomfrey said he'd need his rest. So let him be Potter. You've done enough" he said.

I sighed and nodded. I stood up.

"Good bye Draco" I said softly before leaving

~Draco~

I watched her go silently and sighed.

"So." Snape said suddenly

"What?" I looked at him

"She knows." He said.

"Yes." I muttered.

"You'd better hope no one finds out about this" he spat then left.

I rolled my eyes and stared at the ceiling.

I exhaled deeply, thinking.

Tonight was the night..
