The Start of Dumbledore's Army

~Tessa's POV~

We sat in the common room, listening to Hermione rant.

"We're not learning any spells. We're not learning how to defend ourselves... It's completely ridiculous.." She said

Harry and I just nodded

"We need someone to teach us." She said, "someone really good"

She looked at Harry and me.

"Or two someones" she said thoughtfully.

Harry and I glanced at each other in confusion.

~time skip~

"This is a really bad idea Hermione!!" Harry said

"Yeah! Remember the whole we're nut jobs thing?" I said, "who's going to want to be taught by us?"

"Who did you even invite to this thing?" Harry asked

"Just a few people" Hermione responded

"Like who?" I asked

She ignored me and continued into Hogs Head

She said something to the bartender and then we walked up to a room above the pub.

In the room was a group of about thirty students. All of their eyes on us when we walked in.

"Hi everyone... Thank you for coming" Hermione said, awkwardly.

The group murmured in response.

It took a minute to explain everything. After she did, everyone started questioning.

One question was about Cedric.

I sighed and stood "If you've come here to talk about Cedric, it's not happening so you'd best clear out now" I said. No one moved.

"Why would we want to be taught by them? They're nutters" A Hufflepuff, Ernie MacMillan said.

"Yeah. How do we know they're telling the truth about all of this?" Another said, a Ravenclaw, Terry Boot.

Everyone mumbled their responses, most of them skeptical.

"Is it true you can preform a patronus charm?" Luna Lovegood spoke.

I nodded. There was a murmur of awe

"Yeah and they fought off about a hundred dementors with it in third year" Ron spoke up.

"And they fought a basilisk in second year" Neville said

"It's true! I was there!" Ginny said.

"We are telling the truth. Voldemort really is back and we really did fight him" Harry said, standing next to me.

"But that was all purely luck" I said.

"They're being modest" Hermione said

"No we aren't! It's true. We've had help everytime we've done anything." Harry said.

Hermione ignored us. "Whoever wants to be taught actual defense will sign up now" she said

Everyone clambered forward and signed the sheet.

Harry and I watched silently. I smirked when Cho Chang smiled at Harry. He blushed.

After everyone was done signing the sheet, we all headed back to the castle.

"Okay we need to find a place to do this. A place where Umbridge won't find us." I said

"It has to be secret and easy to access" Harry added

"What about the shrieking shack?" Neville suggested

"Too small" Harry and I said

"We'll find something" Hermione said. "It's sort of exciting isn't it? Breaking the rules"

Ron and I glanced at each other.

"Who are you and what have you done with Hermione Granger?" Ron asked

She laughed "at least one good thing came of today" she said

"What's that?" Harry asked

"Cho couldn't keep her eyes off you could she?" Hermione said, looking at him

~Time Skip~

We looked around the Room of Requirements.

"It's perfect Neville!" I said, placing a hand on his shoulder

"Isn't it? It's brilliant!" Harry said. He turned to face the others "alright. We'll start today and meet every Saturday"

The group nodded.

"Now... Everyone take out your wands" I said. I looked at Harry for a moment and he shrugged. After a small telepathic conversation, twin thing, I added "we'll be learning the disarming spell today"

There was a slight clambering as everyone drew their wands.

I looked at Harry and he nodded. After explaining the charm, we both went around the room, helping everyone with their charms

I stopped by Luna. "Concentrate Luna" I said. She nodded and shot the spell at her partner. Her partner's wand flew from her hand.

"Excellent job" I said. She smiled as I walked toward Harry

He smiled at me. I smiled back. Maybe this would be quite easy

I apologise for the rather short chapter. This one was really just a filler. Plus I don't have much inspiration for any book right now.... Buuut here ya go
