It takes us three weeks to prepare for our move to South Africa. With me running around, looking at houses to buy, preparing for one of my cars to be shipped on the day we leave, shopping online for furniture, talking my dad through my latest business adventure, and packing my possessions.

The fact that I am moving has only started to settle in now, the excitement keeps building. I have been there for holidays and whatnot before, but the fact that I am going to permanently live in the beautiful country leaves me feeling flabbergasted.

Now that most of the preparations are done, I want everything to be perfect. I acquired a house in an upper class estate in a place called Umhlanga Rocks for a very reasonable price. The area has a fast growing housing market and I plan to exploit that.

Andres and I had gotten our visas a few days ago, and today is the day we fly to our new home. I drive out of the driveway of my now closed up home and head out to pick up Andres before we drive out to the airport.

I drive along the coast, taking in the fresh, salty breeze hitting my face. The calming crash of the waves makes everything seem so simple. I live for these simple things.

As I pull into Andres' complex and wait for the gate to open, I am at peace and feel as if I am in a dramatic music video.

When I park in front of Andres' house I hop out and help him fit all his luggage into the car, squeezing it in with mine. He takes a last look at his house before we are off to the airport.

Andres falls asleep as soon as we drive onto the freeway, and I take in Australia one last time.

The architecture. The unpredictable weather. The tall trees.

Even though it's not goodbye forever, it's slightly saddening to leave.

I wake Andres as we enter the airport parking, where I see my assistant waiting to take my car to the storage unit.

'Take good care of her,' I tell Tiffany, my assistant.

'Sure thing Mr. Wolfgang,' she says as she helps me and Andres off load all our suitcases. 'Have a safe flight, sir.'

As she takes the driver seat and speeds off, I take Andres by the hand and kiss him on the cheek. 'Here's to a new beginning Andy, the beginning of our forever.'
