In two weeks I transform back into my old self. The serious, business minded, clear headed Sage. Having your lover back at your side really can do that to you.
Andres and I are currently having dinner at a local restaurant, overlooking the calm, deep blue ocean, illuminated by the big, crisp white moon.
As I lean back and sip on my wine, I spare a glance at Andres, he looks uneasy. As if he wants to say something but cannot find the right time.
'What's on your mind?' I ask, tearing him from his thoughts, 'Why do you look as if you are sitting on an egg?'
'Well ...' he starts but trails off.
'Come on spill!'
'Well ... remember when I was looking for a job around here, before I got accepted I Canada, and you offered me one in the company?'
'Yes,' I say knowing fully well where this is going, but I decide not to cut him short and let him ask even though I know fully well that I am going to find him a job somewhere, regardless.
'Is the offer still on the table? My parents let me stay in their holiday home, but they are still upset at my lack of income.'
'Well the position I initially offered is no longer on the table.' Andres deflates slightly. 'However, I'm sure I can pull a few strings and get you into the renovation sector, if you don't mind physical labor.'
'I'll do anything.' He says rather enthusiastically.
'Perfect, I'll call in a few favors on the ground floor and have you in by Monday,' I say in my business voice.
The mood at the table definitely lightens after that and I hold my wine glass up and he does the same. The sound of crystal against each other precedes me politely chugging my wine and taking his hand and pulling him towards the dance floor. I'm definitely in the mood for fun tonight.
Monday rolls around fast enough and it's six in the morning when I meet Andres at his home to take him to the office. As I wait for him to gather his things I notice that Zoey's car is no longer gracing the driveway with its presence.
'Did Zoey leave already?' I ask him when he finally hops into my idling vehicle.
'Yup, she left this morning,' Andres says as he fastens his seat belt, 'she said thanks for everything and that she wishes us the best of luck.'
I had forgotten that Zoey returns to Canada today, the bubbly woman spent every day in the past two weeks with Andres and me.
'When did you get this one?' he asks referring to the vehicle.
'Yesterday.' I start to drive, 'They delivered it after you left.'
'It's beautiful.'
We complete our journey in a comfortable silence right up until we reach my office building. A moderate sized building with a gray glass exterior. My office, most cliché is on the top floor.
I have an abundance of early morning meetings to attend so I hastily drop Andres off with the head of my renovations team, knowing the man will tell him what he needs to do.
After my last meeting of the day, I walk out of the conference room with a certain bounce in my step. I have just signed a sale agreement that gives me the opportunity to expand my business, to South Africa. I have just taken over one of the real estate companies there.
The country has a fast developing real estate market and I feel it would be good to get in on the ground floor of something that could potentially bring in a lot of clientele.
As I gather my things from my office at the end of the day, I still have that stupid smile on my face. I take an elevator down a few floors to pick up Andres where he has been set to work with the designer in a remodel.
'Time to go Andy.'
He bids farewell to his coworkers and follows me back into the elevator.
Once we are inside the suspended metal contraption, a feeling of need engulfs me. I pin Andres against the polished mirror on the wall of the elevator, claiming his mouth as I push against him.
He is hesitant at first, but slowly gives in.
Much to Andres moaning protest, I pull out of the passionate kiss I had dominated, flustered and slightly aroused. Andres looks the same. His gleaming eyes full of longing.
The elevator pings open, and the lobby is thankfully empty. Nobody needs to know what transpired in elevator four.
Still smiling like an idiot, I make my way into the underground parking, knowing Andres will follow suit. When we are in the car, we fall into a simple conversation as if nothing PG even occurred.

generally the length of chapters for this book averages around two pages, however in my upcoming books, i am working around a general word count so the chapters should be more consistent.
