Chapter 32

Brian's POV

"You sure he's home?" Kate asked Shawn, pretending she didn't know why we were at my house.

"Umm… let me go check." Shawn walked up to the front door and knocked.

"So while he's pretending to be checking for your dad, what cha want to talk about?" Kate crossed her

arms over her chest and leant against Shawn's green car.

I grabbed one of her hands and thought. "Do… You said Luke has a twin right?"

Her face kind of fell, but she nodded. "Yeah, Jamie. He was… I don't know, he kind of kept to

himself. He didn't really talk to anyone or do anything outside of the house."

I bit the inside of my cheek and ran my thumb over the back of her hand. "Do you think that… it's

possible that it was Jamie and not-"

"Bri…" I looked up at her and she was looking down at the ground. "I just don't… wanna think about

it, about that right now… okay?" She looked at me with sad eyes and I nodded.

"Okay." I pulled her into a hug and kissed her head. I really should tell her before she finds out. "K…

Kate  I know you don't want to talk about it but-" I stopped talking when my phone started vibrating in my pocket.

Come on back.

I closed Shawn's message and grabbed Kate's hand. I guess she'll just have to find out for herself.

"Come on, they're ready." She nodded and we walked into the dark living room of my house. "Kit-" She squeezed my hand as she stepped up in front of the back door, knowing I had to cover her eyes. I sighed inwardly before covering her eyes with one hand while opening the back door with the other.

"Surprise!!!" I uncovered Kate's eyes and she smiled, pretending to be surprised for everyone's

amusement. I smirked a little and looked around for-.

"Johnny??" Kate walked past the table with gifts and straight to the three guys she had left back

in Ohio. "What are you doing here?" Her smile grew as her short blond friend hugged her before giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

"It's your birthday silly!!"

"Wow you're right, he is gay." Kate smiled at me as Johnny's eyes kind of popped out of his head.

"Hey! Keep your eyes in your head, you have a boyfriend remember?" A guy with a mess of black

hair and pale blue eyes teased Johnny while the tall brunette half laughed and half glared at Johnny.

"Bri, uh, this is Johnny." Kate raised her hand to Johnny while he smiled and blushed as he waved a

little. "And this is Zane, his boyfriend and the rhythm guitarist. Johnny's the bassist by the way." I laughed and nodded to Zane. He returned the nod before grabbing Johnny. He blushed and held Zane's hands once they were wrapped around him. "And this guy, is Damon, lead vocals." She finished with a matter-of-fact kind of voice, but I saw a guy who kind of looked like Jimmy, but with black hair that flipped away from his face, loitering  behind Damon.

"Uh, actually you're forgetting someone Little Kit." Johnny looked over at the guy and back at her.

She became confused and grabbed my hand. "J- Jamie?"
