Chapter 17

Kate's POV

I was in the passenger seat of Sarah's car on the way to school, resting my head against the

window, staring out at everything passing by. I was thinking about yesterday... "It doesn't feel like a Wednesday."

"It doesn't feel like it should be the third day of school either." I smirked. "What cha thinkin'

'bout Kitty Kat?"

I felt my cheeks burn a little. "Nothin'." I lied through my teeth and she knew it. "Liar." My

cheeks burnt more.

"I'm thinking about yesterday…" I trailed off and went into a daze.

"What did it feel like Kitty? You both looked like you just got high or something, it was

weird." Could it be possible for my face to get any redder? Well it did, she was embarrassing the shit out of me. I just shrugged my shoulders and got out of the car once she turned off the engine.

I walked around the front of the car and she blocked me. "Come on, spill." I went red again.

"I don’t know it was weird."

"How?" I sighed and rolled my eyes at her. "I felt high, I felt like I had helium in me, okay?"

I walked around her and headed for our tree. The guys and Val were all there already, except for Jimmy.

"Hey guys." I sat down and leaned against Matt. Everyone raised an eyebrow at me except

Val, she giggled. "What?"

"Why are you leaning on me?" I looked up at Matt.

"Fine, I'll go lean on your girlfriend then." I grabbed my bag and crawled around him and

Val and sat next to her, resting my head on her shoulder. She laughed and shook her head at me before wrapping her arm around me. I tilted my head back so I could look over at Matt, "Why is it you question me leaning on you but Val doesn't?" He laughed and shrugged his shoulders.

I looked over and saw Sarah leaning on Zack, he had his hand on the other side of her so she

could lean back on his arm for support, and they were whispering. I wonder what that's about? I shrugged it off for now and looked over at Brian. He gave me a small smile, I returned it. Then he threw the paper he was writing on at me.

I scrunched up my face at him before uncrumbling the paper. I love the sound so much I

smiled before I even opened it. "You haven't even read it yet?" I looked up at Val and smiled. "I like the sound." She laughed and shook her head.

When I had the paper fully open there were only two lines.

   Will you go get pizza and see a movie with me Friday?

I laughed at him signing his name before looking at him and nodding, feeling the heat run to

my cheeks. A huge smile grew on his face, then it turned kind of evil. "Umm… maybe I shouldn't have said yes?" I looked at Val and she was as confused as I was.

And next thing I knew I was pulled by the ankle towards Brian. I looked up at him and hit

him. "What did you drag me for?" I sat up and pulled my shirt down, recovering my stomach.

"I wanted you to sit with me." He smiled childishly before turning me around and pulling

me into his side. I glared at him, he just kissed my forehead. I shook my head and rested it on his shoulder, he was comfy to lean on.
