*Hermiones POV

The ball had ended almost two hours ago and Harry and I were still sitting in the common room. Time had flown by between talk, laughter and kissing. It was amazing to finally have a shot at a normal life after all that we, especially Harry, went through in the previous years. Those seven had surely left their mark but this last one was bound to turn them into a simple memory of our past and not the haunting nightmare it had been until now.

Enveloped in the good feeling brought by peace, time passed by in a blur and only slowed down in the morning preceding the match against Ravenclaw. Then, the nerves took over and instead of flashing by, time seemed to stop. Just like last time, at breakfast, Harry, Ron and I were the focus of everyones attention. Only this time, I had something to live up to. I played brilliantly the last time and everyone expected me to do so again. That made anxious to a point when I wished Harry had another vial of Felix Felicis to repeat what he did to Ron before his first match. And, in retrospect, in my nerves I would have fell for it

In the end, as usual, there was nothing to worry about. The Ravenclaws played fair, unlike the Slytherins, but even that was meaningless seeing as both teams only scored one goal each, which was quite the feat as the game lasted only three minutes. Harry spotted the Snitch three minutes into the game and after a chase so quick Cho didnt even manage to be a part of, the Snitch was caught and the victory Gryffindors to claim.

Unsurprisingly, most of the audience was disappointed, having expected a longer game and moves to live up to our previous match. I have to admit that I myself felt a little disappointed too. After all the practice matches and flying around casually with Harry I started to like the game and flying in of itself much more than I ever felt it was possible. Going around on my broom brought back memories from the flight over the lake.

Regardless of the opinions of many, we still won the match and, as such, there was a huge party going when our trio finally managed to make it back to the common room, courtesy of the more fanatic of Gryfindors. The walls seemed ready to collapse with the music and all the cheering, jumping people bringing the common room to a near overflow. It was almost impossible to walk around without stepping or bumping into someone.

The only thing that was different from last time was that harry was now the one under the spotlight. He had caught the Snitch faster than anyone had ever seen and was dragged to the centre of the room by the crowd in no time, being congratulated by the whole House for his amazing performance.

-Harry that was amazing!

-Ive never seen a game as short as that!

-Nice going Harry!

-At this rate, the Cup is as good as ours!

-Dean! Dont get cocky, nothings set yet.

Then, I saw a mane of red hair push its way through the cheering crowd to where Harry was standing and a chill suddenly found its way down my spine. Ginny!

-Hey! Harry that was one great catch. You were amazing|

The tone in which she spoke left no doubt as to what were her intentions and Harry was obviously uncomfortable, to say the least. This was it! What I had been fearing was finally happening.

For a moment, she stared at her feet and bit her lip, as if embarrassed of what she was about to say and, just as Harry was starting to turn around, she suddenly grabbed him, turning him around and pulling her arms around his neck and kissed him, right there, in front of everyone, in front of me

I turned around angrily as my heart shattered into a million pieces. As I was storming out of the common room, someone pushed from behind, almost making me fall but I managed to recover my balance and keep running. I didnt even bother to look behind me to find out who pushed me, I just wanted to get out of there, as far away from that room, from them as I could.
