*Hermione's POV

I woke up the next morning in the couch on the common roo where I fell asleep after returning from the astronomy tower. It took me a few moments to realized I was covered in a blanket and Harry was sitting on one of the couches nearby, looking at me. We stood there for a goo minute, none of us daring to say a word, afraid of what might come out. To break the silence, I simply held up one of the sides of the blanket with a questioning look on my face.

- Yeah.. That was me, I spent most of the night looking for you and when I came back, you were already asleep - He continued - Hermione I don't know what to tell you -

- Tell me the truth - These words surprised him and, even more incredible, they surprised me. I wasn't expecting myself to trust him so much after what happened yesterday.

- She kissed me, I pushed her, although, that's a bit of an understatement, as she flew from one end of the room to the other. I must have been so angry I created a shockwave that threw everyone off their feet.

- Sooo You don't like her?

- No. I want to be with you, just you Hermione.

With that, he stood from his seat, came towards me and stopped mere inches away from me - Just you Hermione.

We kissed. I cant remember a better one. The previous were great but this one was filled with new emotions, make it unique. It meant forgiveness, trust, love, and, above all, the knowledge that no matter what the world threw at us, we would stay together.

When we separated, he had a mischievous grin on his face.

- So, I already had my revenge against Ginny with the whole accidental magic thing but the question is , what are YOU going to do?

I smiled as numerous ideas started to form in my mind, one in particular standing out above all others.

*Harry's POV

Dinner was as calm as ever, well, until Hermione's revenge began. We sat side by slid, facing the Slytherin table, ears out for any unusual events and, sure enough, halfway through the meal, there were several loud complains as Ginny jumped from her seat and flung herself on Pansy Parkinson and declared loudly that she was in love with her. Laughter filled the hall as Ginny, who looked seriously drunk followed Pansy out of the hall as she fled in horror.

- It'll pass in about five minutes, it was only a drop of love potion.

It was with great surprise that I saw several Gryfindors giving us thumbs up, having apparently made the connection between the events of two nights ago and what just happened.

- I say she deserved it. She's still my sister but maybe this will teach her to respect others relationships.

The three of us smiled as we stood up and headed for the common room. Ginny was there, her face redder than her hair. She took one glance at us and bolted upstairs. This just turned our small giggles into full blow laughs as we sat on the couches, relaxing after a long day.

*???

The rest of the year went perfectly, all three of our friends enjoying a long earned break. At the end of the year, there was a big feast on the last night of the year, celebrating the graduation of all seventh year students, not a single person had failed. Several people spoke, thanking the three heroes for the chance to have a normal school year and for ridding the world of the evil of Voldemort. The trio, however, refused to give a speech, determined to, at least once, be just another person in the crowd.

The departure on the train was hard and teary for many, including Harry, who came running out of the carriage just hug Hagrid Just one last time, promising him he would visit often.

The whistle blew and after several bumps, the train steadied and started what would be the last trip for the three friends

Author's note

I'm sorry for the small chapter but I can't really write this story as I used to, I've been to immersed in other projects and I guess it took the passion I had for this story and, although t is not the best chapter I wrote, I simply won't break the promise I made to myself to never leave a published story unfinished. As such you can expect an epilogue coming sometime soon, as I've been waiting since the start of the story to write it.

I also want to thank everyone who stayed the story until the end, despite my lack of updates. The story doesn't have the number of chapters I was aiming for but I'm still proud of it.

Okay, enough blabbering, I hope you like it and until the next chapter,
