I was lying on my bed and Clementine just left to go to one of her night classes. It was finally an opportunity for me to talk to Melanie about everything that happened just yesterday.
I reached from under my bed and grabbed the box that contained my shiny bell. I picked it up and gave it a gentle ring.
I smiled and closed my eyes as green smoke appeared to swallowed me up.
I reopened my eyes and saw myself standing in the beautifully colored room where I'd first met Melanie.
"Hey, Camila!" She grinned as she popped up behind me. We shared a hug and we both sat down on a lace-covered couch.
"How's it going?" Melanie asked in a chipper voice.
"Well, I came here because I needed to tell you something. It's about Volt." I began.
She nodded.
"Yesterday, I went with some friends to this old house. When we where there, crazy things started happening." I paused.
"What do you mean, crazy things?" Melanie asked, her violet eyes wide in curiosity.
"The lights kept going on and off. One by one all of my friends were captured by Volt. It's probably her secret lair. She hurt my best friend, Clementine and frightened all of my other friends!" I huffed.
"Oh my." Melanie answered.
"I don't know what to do, or how to stop her. Any advice?"
Melanie stood up, her emerald gown glistened. "We need to get you some sort of suit."
I raised an eyebrow, "suit? How's that going to help me?" I argued.
"Well, you can't fight Volt as Camila Anderson. You have to fight Volt as a superhero." Melanie replied.
I pondered, "true. You're.. Right."
"You have to keep your identity a secret, or bad things could happen." She warned, brushing her curly brown hair away from her eyes.
"Do I have to keep it a secret from everybody though? Couldn't I tell one person?" I asked.
"I'm sorry. It's for your safety that you don't." Melanie answered.
"Not even if I trust the person? What ifー"
"Enough." Melanie scolded. "Just because you trust someone doesn't mean they are trustworthy. Not everyone you know is who they may seem!"
"What do you mean??" I argued.
She turned away and lowered her head, "I'm speaking from experience."
I folded my arms and surrendered. "Fine, then. Let's get me a suit."
She turned around with a smile. "Great!" She snapped her fingers and green smoke devoured us.
