It was fair to say that Karen was in a bit of a shock after the dance. Mason had no choice but to explain what was really going on in Beacon Hills. Karen wasn't really shocked at that, she was more shocked that she hadn't been seeing things. Karen was walked home by Mason, "do you want to stay here?" she offered and Mason looked around.

"It's late and I don't want you walking home on your own" she smiled.

"Alright," he said awkwardly and stepped into the house, "but I have to tell you, I don't like-"

"Girls?" she offered, "yeah I know, that's why I offered" she joked, and pointed to the stairs. "My parents are actually out of town tonight, thank god."

"Lucky for them," Mason said as he followed Karen up to her room. "I can sleep on the floor."

"Don't be silly, I have a bed that pulls out." she said, pulling out the mattress underneath her double bed. "I think my parents thought I would make more friends here, but it is what it is" she laughed. Mason didn't, they had a connection, they seemed to understand each other without having to explain anything. Mason nor Karen had felt that before. "Alright, I'll get the spare pillows and stuff, the bathrooms there, make yourself at home" Karen flapped her arms around while she talked. She let out a breath and smiled, Mason returned the smile as Karen left the room.

"Oh shit!" Karen looked at the clock on her bedside table, "oh shit, shit, shit" she repeated as she got out of bed.

"Karen, Karen," Mason said, holding his hands out as she stumbled, "schools cancelled today."

"Oh..." she trailed off and sat down on the spar mattress which Mason was sleeping on. Mason sat down next to her. "I'm gonna get changed into something a bit more comfortable" she laughed a little, she had really slept in her dress. Once she had changed in the bathroom she came out and sat down next to Mason again.

"I guess the damage must be pretty bad," he said, shrugging.

"Yeah, must be" she mumbled. "What about Liam?" she asked. Karen and Mason looked at each other, the same shocked expression. They couldn't believe that they had forgotten about Liam.

Karen and Mason ran out the bedroom, down the stairs and to the front door, "do you have your keys?" Mason shouted to Karen.

"Damn, no" she yelled as she ran to the kitchen to grab them, "I do now," she said holding them up. Karen opened the door and froze.
